I will say going back to the 2 point playcall against Ole Miss....

it was a shovel screen back to the middle and Myron Cunningham allowed it to be blown up with a whiff on his part

It was what we call a dual screen. basically an extended RPO. screen with a bail out play attached.... only problem there is you have to kill the screen pre-snap if it isn't there or you are going to have a lineman downfield and obviously we didn't do that.

I went back and watched again....It looked like it was designed to go to DJ.... and it was ugly but still there... KJ probably freaked out when the point of attack got blown up and tried to force it to Burks. Not a great play design I will admit.

Which is exactly like Texass talking about their great win/loss record. We goose egged against Goergia, competed against Ole Miss but couldn't get it done when it counted, same for Auburn. We have beaten nobody of any significance in college football, which is fine because I didn't really expect to. But we keep having people pumping KJ when he really hasn't shown the skill or the will to win tough games for us.

Eh, no matter what you think of A&M. He made some plays to close that game out. His will isn't even close to the issue imo.

Definitely not. The only thing I see bad from KJ is his intermediate pass game. And the game is still too fast for him.

dude this just isn’t true. Unless only beating top 10 teams are the only wins of significance in which case most people don’t have any significant wins then. We aren’t a national title contender that’s true but who in their right mind had that as the bar for success for this season. We beat a pretty solid A&M team who beat alabama with the same qb, and we beat Texas who whole overrated is still a talented roster.

This and there were at least two or three times I feel he could have run for a 1st down when rolling out the pocket. Probably can be included in the game being too fast for him.

exactly

DJ would have walked into the end zone

Myron Cunningham is a 5th year senior. I think it's okay to call him out.

Proof

I believe that thread proves my thoughts on KJ. When he is in the 2m hurry up, he can’t over think. When it all falls apart, he just makes a play, doesn’t have to be the best play, just a play and then goes and gets the next one. When he is kept clean, he is worried about making the perfect play.

Maybe, but not unfair, and not untruthful. From what I can see, I like KJ. I think he may be a natural leader. I just don't think he is where we need him to be yet, and I don't think he is where he should be, even if you consider his year under Chaggy a detriment to his development, which i think is the case for all of our players.
