Allen was already developed but just needed more confidence, he played sacred. Briles with Jefferson is more impressive as he had zero development going back to his days in high school.

Arkansas is ranked at 50 in total defense. Only six SEC teams are better.

Arkansas ranks sixth in the SEC with 459.7 yards per game on offense, and that includes ranking fourth in rushing yards with 244.8 yards per game. The Hogs are only 11th in passing offense at 214.8 yards per game, but they rank fourth in efficiency at 159.9.

Just for comparison sakes... and who is paid more?

Enos Brandon Allen offense was better.

Statistically no. He even had the benefit of coming in 2 years into a coach who had recruited a good line. Also he followed it up with complete shite with Austin Allen.

Briles has had a better offense with less and 2 different QBs

When considering yards per play and points per possession, I'd have to guess that the 2015 offense has to be at or near the top of all time Razorback teams.

What?

2015 offense was #2 in the SEC and 50 more yards passing per game.

Briles walked into a 5 star QB and had a top 20 draft pick at WR.

Austin Allen just wasn’t very good.

You’re just making shite up due to your blind loyalty to this guy.

You’d think he was coaching for free.

Briles had a month to prepare for Pedo St. and absolutely shite the bed in the first half with his game plan.

Definitely concerning as we move to year three without Burks.

Not a 5 star, but I believe was a 4 star

Austin Allen could have been very good. Our OL while he was here was absolute trash

Briles isn't terrible by any means, but if he wants to become a BobbyP level playcaller he's got a long way to go

He was a 4 star, so was Brandon Allen. He had a top 20 pick (hopefully) vs a 2nd round all world tight end. A Grant Morgan who always made plays when needed, Alex Collins vs Rakeem I quit Boyd. Enos had like 3 or 4 drafted linemen. We got maybe 1 right now.

It’s not me sucking Briles dick, so much as living in reality. You are living in a glorified version that never was of Bert.

What about the part where you said statistically, Briles offense was better when it in fact wasn’t?

I don’t even have efficiency numbers but I guarantee it blows Briles away.

There’s no stat to show the amount of points he consistently left on the board almost every game this year nearly single handedly with wtf play calling when we were clearly having success doing other things. His force fed East/west Texas high school offense with our B team athletes against elite edge speed was laughable at many times this year.

Did he call some good games? Yea for sure.

But he also called some really shitty ones at times and that’s okay to say and not inaccurate. He’s a millionaire and like 35 years old.

Can I just say how nice it is to be able to argue if our offense now is as good or better than any offenses of the past decade instead of worrying if we would set the new school record for some g5 teams defense?

3 4 stars depending on the service. My bad.

I didn’t say he had equal talent, but he certainly hasn’t been void of it the way some here make it out to be.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say that while yes treylon I'd a once s generation type talent on the level of Dmac. He also wasn't performing as well or developing as well until briles got here.

He was pretty solid. Didn't have shite for oline.

According to ESPN they are basically the same 2015 and 2021. Same position in almost every stat around 20-25th place it looks.

What does this have to do with anything? If you are a halfway decent coordinator at a respectable power 5 school, you are a millionaire. That sounds more personal, disappointed you didn’t get your shot at calling games bullshite.

Did he call some bad games? Yes. Did he leave points on the field? Yes. Was it all his fault? No.

I think you are looking back at a different time with rose colored glasses. Truth is, we haven’t had a GREAT offensive play caller since Bobby and probably won’t get one that good again.

The best stat of Briles vs Enos, after 2015, he went down in wins every year. Briles has more wins this year than last with more wins than 2015, which was Enos best years, with an overall better team.

And all that’s being over looked is our problem this year besides Georgia wasn’t that we weren’t scoring, it was the other team was scoring more than us. Which no one wants to point out because Odom might cry or something.

Odom doesn’t recruit and he ran a shitty prevent defense all year until he got to LSU, Bama and Missouri. Then he slipped back into during the first half of Penn State, and if Penn States QB was better, he would have had two more touchdowns where our safety got completely burned.

39th paid DC in the nation then... Got it.

You know that I am being obtuse, to some extent, however... the point remains.

Odom isn't some defensive guru that some of us make him out to be. His recruiting is subpar, his scheme sucks rear tit sometimes... but Briles gets roasted and this dude gets mega bucks.

Part of that may be as an insurance policy for CSP... SInce Sam is a 1st time HC and Odom has some experience, etc. However that may be, he still doesn't perform as his pay suggests imho
