Since no one is going to offer him in the NFL for head coach, why not him in college?

I admittedly do not watch the NFL, but the Vikings defense seems to be humming.

After watching the next up and comers and seasoned head coaches failing badly at new programs in NiL and transfer portal era it seems we are better to try to keep our coaching staff in place. I’m in on TWill with Bobby as OC as long as he wants to coach should Pittman retire with a better than expected season

With as large of a defection as we had this past offseason especially on defense at LB position. Yea TWill isn't anywhere ready to be a HC

Dude, this thinking is inept at best during the nil and portal world.

I am not pro T Will as HC, but all over the nation .. .unless your a major football power, it is happening. T Will at least is recruiting well with with M Woodson.

Sure he a good recruiter but no what has happened to Arkansas hasn't happened at another program in the country without a coaching change.

There were more than a few of the 34 that left that didn't have the kindest of words about the Arkansas coaching staff.

True…but Bobby Petrino is here. Thats a valuable resource. Having consistency in the staff is a key for a team like Arkansas.

Leaders have to learn on the job and are mentored to be great. True also in my line of work.

At this point we seem better off as far as starters go. We also have 2 freshman studs in the wings.

They left for money

While I agree, if Sammy somehow pulls 6 wins out of his arse, this staff will be given another year to show their worth.

We've always been a 7.5 win team anyway.

Cheap hires and underachieving seems to be the norm on the hill nowadays.

I wouldn't be too sure about better. Not mad at the freshman. Yea that's not what they were saying when they left. A few direct quotes that guys felt lied to in how they were used.

Based of Frank's old dictum, which he tragically broke, we should never promote a coordinator to head coach. Also, hire someone who is reasonably fit. And, please, no ties required.

My thoughts exactly. I don't know why people are in such a hurry to tear up a combination that's currently working. I get it's year 5 of Pittman, but it's not year 5 of this staff and system. We're clearly on the right track now. Let it ride, baby.

With 1 really disappointing year. But that erases the rest. Let’s bring someone else in and start all over.

Without an increase in NIL for football, there is no need to bring in a brand new staff. I get it’s a chicken and egg thing but it’s a crapshoot for coaches in current era. Not trying to be in the “who we gonna get better now” crowd but it seems finally relevant in the case of having a larger collective with a splash hire.

I don't see any reason why Arkansas cannot go 6-6 this season. Going to a bowl shows progress and that maybe the program is getting on the right track. Anything less than is failure and that is on Sam.

He still hasn’t solved the problem of letting them off the mat. If he had, we wouldn’t have lost to Oklahoma State.

And I don’t see why T Will would be head coach of the two..

Year 5 of an offensive line head coach without an offensive line.

He doesn’t have the go for the jugular instincts, and lets people come back when it should be a blow out.

Maybe he will change my mind and have fixed all that by the end of the year, but a 60+ year old tiger doesn’t change their stripes.

1. It isn't 1998 anymore
2. Schools with big NIL budgets get the players
3. We don't have the NIL budget to retain players

Maybe we should figure out whose in charge of recruiting more NIL money and fire them. The Arkansas Edge staff is the biggest joke in the NIL game. It's as if they just sit around and put out a tweet and expect people to give them their money. They need a legit marketing and gladhanding genius to run that show. Instead we hired a guy who raised money for the Walmart Arts & Crafts empire. Not a guy who understands athletics.

Seriously go look at the staff of The Edge. Its as if we hired a few peoples buddies to run the show. LINK

Most of the players aren't worth retaining.
