Thiero to the draft apparently. Not leaving his name in the NCAA, so he gone.

Seeing Knox's progress over the last few weeks of the season give me some hope that he can fill that roll without much drop off next year.

Now we just need to get an equal or better backup for him.

How do we se Rtail fitting in? Hard to get a read on him but I assume Cal thinks he can help.

I kind of like his game. Decent off the bounce and has a really good touch from 10 ft all the way out to about 25.
Smooth looking player.

To be perfectly honest, I think he’s gonna be a depth guy that doesn’t play a whole lot.

I'm not sure about that as early as we took him. Cal taking him before the other dominoes start falling makes me think they see something in him. That being said, I am no expert in how these guys playing in foreign leagues will translate to the NCAA. I guess time will tell.

Thiero announces he will declare for the NBA Draft with a post to his IG account.

I'm actually glad he did. Not just for himself, but I just don't think he's as good as people are making him out to be and we relied on him far too much. He's essentially a better scoring Kamani Johnson, which is a nice thing to have, but not where you put all your eggs for the season.

I will be surprised if he is much more than a bench player spelling others for a few minutes at the most.

He was a very Cheap get....

I partly agree. But, he improved greatly this season and with another off season, I would have loved to see him hang around with needed replacements from the portal

It's Pringle. Also lot of smoke Wagner to portal soon and St John's frontrunner.

I know that this sounds weird... But I have heard that Cal is strongly encouraging Wag to portal and has contacted other teams on his behalf.

At first, I thought... NO WAY... But then it was put to me this way. "Cal cares deeply for his kids, but he also knows that he has to win for his own legacy and success at AR. He is reaching out for DJ, like he did another who has already left"

Might be true....

It just goes back to Cal's recruiting pitch to elite players that he normally guarantees starting spot. So obviously that means Acuff is our starting PG and Wagner doesn't have a starting roster spot so it's best for him to transfer.

I always thought this was likely.

The 247 show on YouTube didn't even mention Arkansas for Ament. Said slight lead Duke then Tennessee then Kentucky.

2nd to last segment.

He is Dukes... and we get Wag back?

Seemingly may be happening... Good or bad?

I like Wags...

Starting DJ with Acuff at PG is just asking for another year of poor 3 point shooting.

The problem for me is simple.

To find the unicorn player... Great 3 pt shooter, great ball mechanics, great defensive skills, Maturity, and knowledge with our program/system.

I would rather have the known factor, than an unknown within our program. I have been scouring the portal and simply do not see a player that I would trade Wags experience with cal for. I have seen some great shooters, but their defensive efficiency goes down quite a bit and vice versa..

Just my thoughts....

JT Topping reportedly getting 4 million from Texas Tech. WTF.

The salaries just seem to explode year after year.

it is a one year deal. Beginning next season, It will be the revenue sharing of 20.5 million between all sports. NIL will be more like it was meant to be. Value Added funds for specific jobs done. Advertising campaigns, etc. The accounting firm that calculates the academy awards will be over it and it will have an enforcement provision.

Some are going all in this season, prior to the changes...

That's the problem with DJ yeah. Acuff is a great shooter from anywhere on the floor but DJ isn't so he can't really play the 2.

But if DJ wants to stay and come off the bench at PG and maybe on occasion run point with Acuff at the 2 I'm fine with it. He's got experience and good leadership and you never know with injuries.
