Until this team learns how to hit the baseball consistently we'll continue to suck.
It wouldn't surprise me to drop the game tonight against Mo. State.

Conversely, MSU is a top 5 team in virtually every poll and we took 2 of 3 from them. The SEC is all over the place this year.
Florida beat SC 1-0 (in 10) and 3-0 their first two games. SC also lost their 3 games to Georgia by 3 runs, 2 runs, and 2 runs this past weekend, and their pitching held UGA to 5 runs in game 1 and 3 runs in game 2. They’re bad, but not 2025 Mizzou bad.

I agree. Our lineup is bad and getting worse. Between our pitching and our lineup, we’ve got more than a few things to fix.

We’ve looked like arse so far. We’re not devoid of talent though.
My only hope is that maybe this team is built for warmer weather. We’ve seen our elite pitching teams fall apart when the breaking balls don’t have as much bite and the balls starts carrying a little more.

We load the bases with no outs in the 1st and only plate 1.
Meanwhile MO State knocks in 5 in the 2nd. Those stranded runners are looming large, especially with this offense.

To Ultimate’s point, this is DVH’s worst pitching staff since he’s been here.

Aloy was 0-5 with 5 strikeouts with a combined 8 men on base.
He needs to sit for good, and hopefully he was only in the lineup because Ruiz was hurt and Niu was sick. His swing is majorly screwed up (Bubba hinted this on the radio a week or so ago) to the point where everything is either a strikeout or a chopper to 3rd. He had some ugly swings last night.
