And he’s making 50% more than Bielema for the same results. Clown program.

I like the idea of Lunney coming back as HC after Pittman. I think the Arkansas job is at it's best with a coach who understands the recruiting footprint and what it means to be a Hog. Barry fits that and I think he's ready.

Firing Bielema was just another bad decision in a long line of bad decisions going back to joining the SEC. Broyles’ ego tanked this program forever. I feel bad for anyone who still supports Arkansas football.
frick Bert in his fat fricking arse. He absolutely deserved to be fired

Oh a Barry is coming it just isn't Lunney Jr.

Another HC with no HC experience.

completely missed what I said about him.

I'll take his father instead.

It's the Arkansas way and as an added bonus, he loves the helmet.

His father would have been the better option but he didn't get into the college game because he likes his fishing on the weekends.

How come you're high on Odom and not Jeff Traylor? If we're just talking people who've been assistants at Arkansas and are now killing it as HC elsewhere.

You're basically describing what fans have been calling the GOBN for decades, and it's been one of the nails in our coffins. I don't get this obsession with fans needing an "Arkansas guy" to come here and have mediocre results just because he fits some arbitrary bill of "one of us." Three of our four best coaches have been people with no prior ties to Arkansas.
If we hired Barry Lunney Jr. as HC, the state should burn Fayetteville to the ground.

I'm not it's just what the decision makers are gonna do.
I'm a Chadwell guy also like Sumrall and Traylor in that order.
.
But we don’t make the decisions so what does it matter.

Idk about a fans requirement but it is a GOBN requirement.
1. Ties to the state or prominent booster.
2. SEC experience
3. Cheap
If a candidate meets most or all of these requirements consider it a done deal.

The words of the person I responded to were: "I like the idea of Lunney coming back as HC…" So that's a fan saying he's behind this idea, not that he'll put up with it and wish for the best like most did/are doing with Pittman.
I've been watching these programs that are historically on our level, below us, or slightly above us, shitcan coaches after two or three years of mediocre results, and I'm continually baffled that the Hog fanbase keeps telling itself that it deserves this horseshite.
Mississippi State fired Joe Moorhead after two seasons. He made a bowl both years. Mississippi State. Mississippi State. The same MSU that once kept Sylvester Croom for five years while he missed a bowl four of those five. They kept Jackie Sherrill 13 years, and he had losing seasons for six of them. They only won 8+ games four times under his leadership.
Auburn fired Bryan Harsin in less than two years. They fired Chizik two years after he won the NC.
Missouri fired Odom after four years for having virtually the same results Pittman is having.
Ole Miss? I don't even recognize them anymore. They got lucky for the baseball natty a couple years back, but they've started taking football and basketball very seriously, they're spending whatever it takes to do so. I'm just sick of the excuses and Stockholm Syndromed fans enabling it. It's truly and remarkably shocking how little effort is being put into winning in football.

Not sure Auburn and Mississippi State are great examples right now but it’s definitely easier than ever to build a program quickly. Crazy how fast coaches have to win or else with the portal era.
