I'd much rather have frost on the sideline

I have to think this could potentially be our worst season in 70+ years, if it plays out like we think it will.

I don't know, I remember a pretty horrible year with Jack Crowe.

Crowe went 3-8, 6-6, then was fired on the field after that Citadel loss. Those really were hopeless times. Those records were while we were still in the SWC. Definitely dark times but we've never had such a dry spell as we've had over the last 5+ years.

I think the worst ever run was at the end of the 30's till 1945 when we won 26 games over the course of 8 seasons. Most folks don't really count that because, well, it was during the Second World War and we were barely able to field enough players to have a team... never mind that we had to hire temporary coaches.

So... this is our worst run of football except for when our nation was fighting for its very survival in the biggest war of our species.

Which doesn't exactly cheer me up. I think I'll stop looking up stats now.
