TCU baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle hasn't determined his starting rotation for the Fayetteville Regional. But sounds like he's leaning toward holding Nick Lodolo for potential matchup vs. Arkansas on Saturday, rather than using him vs. Cal.

Not sure that’s the best move for TCU. They’ve been getting rocked most of the year and they’re holding their #1 starter while they go against a team that’s likely better than them on paper?

Yeah they're approaching things like a 1 seed looking ahead rather than a 3 seed that honestly shouldn't even be in the tournament.

Darn. I was looking forward to playing them. This eliminates all hope of that

I like it, gives you the best chance to win the regional IMO. We don't hit lefties well and they've got probably the top one in the entire country and a projected top 10 pick.

At Texas Tech for his last reg season start he went 8IP 5H 0R 0BB 13K.

Projected draft:

Baseball America 7
MLB 8
FanGraphs 6

You get by Cal and you have one of the best pitchers in college to face us. If you lose to Cal, you throw your #3 and still get to save Lodolo for Ark/Cal elimination game.

Arkansas will pull more fans for a game at 1 pm on a workday than most regionals will pull in both games today. Hog fans love of the game & love of the team is unmatched.
