Makes no sense. Last year was about the best FT shooting I can remember us having in a long time.

I’m surprised it’s above 50% honestly.

They gotta get that turned around. 75% as a team is your goal. If you can hit 75% as a team, you'll win games at the foul line.

Team stats overall mirror this.

FT%, Turnover to assist ratios, points, rebounds....it all tanked just about when Conference play started. Actually just after the TN game and to include the Houston game.

I figure...teams that know what Mike doesn't coach are pretty much in our conference....so when we start playing them we are exposed. Makes some sense as Samson down at Houston has coached against Mike forever in the Big 12 before going to UH.

Anyway....we're exposed and won't beat a good team for the rest of the year.

What effect do the other teams have on our sudden inability to shoot free throws?

You proved yourself wrong and don't realize it. It's not that we are exposed, it is a team chemistry problem.

This. We haven't been terrible about trying to get to the basket, but if they foul us, we need to be able to convert at the FT line. I know it's shoulda woulda coulda, but if we hit a few more FTs against MSU, we probably pull that one out on the road, and we're sitting at 3-3. That's not pretty, but it's not 10th in conference.

The biggest concern I have is that our offensive numbers are terrible now, specifically assists and our ability to get into the transition game. When we were playing well, we were considered a fast tempo good offensive team with a mediocre defense. Now we are playing like a team with a mediocre offense and mediocre defense.

That’s quite a compliment. We’re ranked 260th in the country in ppg against.

I think Olé is a better word for it.
