While true, look at what that jackass Ford did with Lunney Jr. and Madre Hill. The list goes on. Hometown kids are the foundation, the Peter if you will.
Exactly. We don't produce much, so we can't afford to lose any. A lot of in state or border town talent have been huge stars for us.
Also saw an article preaching that the Razorbacks should pick up ODU's QB. Big time dual threat QB, very interesting, and... got to this part where they said "he turns the ball over a lot."
Yeah. No. I'm going to have to pass on that.

Is there a list of those who have signed already? I haven't had time to follow all day and just wanted an update pretty much..

Found the list on 247 right after I asked.... sorry.

Jude Hall is a good get. Thought maybe we would pick him up when I looked at Memphis' commit list Monday.

This is where we're really going to miss RazorHawg. He posted great recruiting threads.

Was kind of expecting some more flips today. Not melting because the instate kids we got the last couple of days are really good for us.... just thought we would see some more movement today.

Considering today is the first day of early signing, I’m assuming most of our action will come after it’s more established who our coordinators & staff will be.
Seen on X a few big recruits holding off on signing today because of the uncertainty with other programs

Hopefully we have enough NIL to get SEC depth we so badly need.

I can’t imagine that it takes much nil to sign a 3 star high school recruit. Most of these guys will be scout team and maybe special teams next year. If they do blossom into starters we’ll have to pay to retain them.
I’m more interested in the portal hall. A projected SEC starter and impact players will be where the money is spent.

Yes/No.
I don't think Arkansas is going to outbid the rest of the sec/nation for impact ready D-Line, O-Line, LBs.
That is what is so frustrating about Sam giving up on instate recruiting, I get it they will need to be developed and that takes time, but take the defense this year, would it not be beneficial to have a warm body than no-body for depth on the Dline? Because that is where we were. LB? Same.
Arkansas at worst produces depth in the positions, with development you will have Oline men and Dline men who are SEC capable as Juniors/Seniors. You would think if your put 2-3 years effort in a HS Arkansas kid they would be more likely to stay than your odds of out bidding the rest of the nation for an equal player.
I could be wrong, Pittman never tested this theory, instead he was spending in the portal on guys on bad G5 and at the FCS level.

Memphis projected starter at QB is entering the portal, I would imagine you would see more enter and likely come here to fill some gaps on the roster.
All SEC first teamers? Probably not. Serviceable depth? Most likely. Upgrades at their positions? Plausibly.

You don't really realize how big some of these guys are until you stand next to them.
When I was in high school, me and a teammate were on a recruiting trip to A&M. My buddy was a biggish guy. 6'3 290. We stood next to a teammate of Vince Young's from Houston who was also being recruited. Guy was 6'8 385. Never felt so small in my life.
