Little Rock (Ark.) Central Arkansas Christian quarterback Grayson Wilson has verbally committed to the home state Arkansas Razorbacks.

Wilson, 6-3, 185, went public with his decision on Saturday following the Hogs’ Red-White spring game in Fayetteville. He is Arkansas’ first pledge for the Class of 2025.

Wilson chose the Hogs over other early scholarship offers from Illinois, Pittsburgh and Central Arkansas. The sophomore has already made a handful of trips to Fayetteville this year and was offered by new offensive coordinator Dan Enos following one of his visits in early March.

"The highlight of today’s visit was being offered a scholarship to play at the University of Arkansas," Wilson said on March 4. "After spending the day with Coach (Dan) Enos and Coach (Sam) Pittman, and seeing all the facilities and support that the football players have, I am honored that Coach Enos and Coach Pittman want me to be their quarterback for the class of 2025 ... Representing my home state is very important for me."

As a sophomore this past season, Wilson completed 143 of 245 passes (58.3%) for 1,737 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also added 530 rushing yards and 7 scores on 84 carries (6.3 YPC).

Wilson has yet to receive an evaluation from 247Sports.

So far, Pittman and the Razorbacks have extended a total of four offers within the state for the Class of 2025. In addition to Wilson, the Hogs have offered four-star safety Omarion Robinson of Little Rock Parkview, athlete Quentin Murphy of Joe T. Robinson, and wide receiver Antonio Jordan of Warren.

While Wilson marks the Hogs’ first commitment of the 2025 cycle, Arkansas’ 2024 class is up to five verbal pledges in Birmingham (Ala.) St. Martin four-star quarterback KJ Jackson, Leeds (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Kavion Henderson, Ocean Springs (Miss.) St. Martin four-star athlete Noreel White, Batesville (Miss.) South Panola four-star athlete Julius Pope, and three-star defensive lineman Dion Stutts of Memphis (Tenn.) University School.

Arkansas got some good news following its Red-White spring football game as 2025 quarterback Grayson Wilson of North Little Rock called the Hogs.

Wilson made the announcement on his Twitter page on Saturday.

Wilson was offered by the Arkansas coaching staff on March 4 during a visit to one of Arkansas' Prospect Days, and made more trips to Fayetteville afterward.

The Central Arkansas Christian Academy quarterback threw for 1,737 yards and 19 touchdowns last season. He chose Arkansas over offers from Illinois, Pittsburgh and Central Arkansas.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 185 pounds, Wilson runs a 4.62-second 40-yard-dash, according to his Twitter profile. While the speed doesn't jump off the page, he said in January his pocket-passing game is where he's at his best.

"I think I'm a good pocket passer," Wilson said. "I think I can throw it well on the run. I can escape the pocket whenever I need to. I think I have good leadership and control of the team. I have a strong arm. In my opinion, I have good accuracy and I'm a good leader."

Wilson is a multi-sport athlete for Central Arkansas Christian, playing baseball and basketball as well. He is the first commitment for Arkansas in the 2025 cycle.

Several Razorback targets are included in the latest Top247 rankings for the Class of 2025, which were updated and released by 247Sports on Thursday.

The most notable movement from an Arkansas standpoint is that four-star safety Omarion Robinson of Little Rock Parkview was previously listed at No. 112 but fell all the way out of the updated from Top247. Robinson has made multiple trips to Fayetteville and holds other offers from Auburn, Florida State, Texas, TCU, Ole Miss, USC and several others in addition to the home state Hogs.

quote:

53 - WR Isaiah Mozee | Lee's Summit (Mo.) North - Up from No. 73 in April; Made a super-early visit at Arkansas in the spring of 2022 but has since said that Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Oregon are recruiting him the hardest.

55 - CB Tarrion Grant | Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Siegel - Up from 210; Visited Arkansas in March and recently included the Hogs in his early top ten.

85 - CB Trystan Haynes | Oklahoma City (Okla.) Carl Albert - Up from 239; Arkansas got an unofficial visit from Haynes in March.

140 - OL Devin Harper | Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve - Up from 220 in April; Harper will get a closer look at the Razorbacks at Saturday's Hogwild Hangout event (VIP).

152 - OL Chauncey Gooden | Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy - Up from 176; Made an unofficial visit on The Hill earlier this spring.

170 - DL Kevin Oatis | Hattiesburg (Miss.) - Down from 52; Has owned an Arkansas offer for several months and has said he plans to visit Fayetteville.

185 - LB Jarcoby Hopson | Lake Cormorant - Down from 165; Visited the Razorbacks in late January but has since been to other SEC schools and will visit Auburn on Saturday.

192 - TE DaSaahn Brame | Derby (Kan.) - Down from 177; Has visited Arkansas twice this year but recently said that Oklahoma, Tennessee and K-State are the three "that have probably connected the most."

221 - ATH Lance Jackson | Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove - Down from 186; Previously listed as a defensive lineman, Jackson is the younger brother of current Razorback defensive end Landon Jackson and has made several trips to Fayetteville. He'll be back on The Hill this weekend.

222 - WR Elijah Thomas | Checotah (Okla.) - Previously unlisted in the Top247; Arkansas was the first Division 1 program to offer the nearby target, but there's been little movement with the Hogs thus far.

231 - RB Jamarion Parker | St. Louis (Mo.) - Down from 207; Arguably the Razorbacks' top running back target for 2025, Parker has made multiple trips to see the Hogs.

Bauxite (Ark.) safety Marcus Wimberly has committed to Sam Pittman and the Arkansas Razorbacks for the Class of 2025. Wimberly, 6-1, 180, went public with his decision to call the Hogs following Saturday's Hogwild Hangout event in Fayetteville, which wrapped up at approximately 4 p.m.

"First off, I want to thank God for this opportunity," Wimberly said in a tweet. "This was a decision I delayed for a long time, because I needed God's confirmation. This morning he provided me with that confirmation and I thank him for every blessing and for his grace and mercy. I would also like to thank my parents and my family as a whole. They are great supporters and have my best interest at heart in everything I do. Last but not least, I want to thank all the coaches that have been there and helped develop me as a player and a young man along the way. With that being said, I am 1000% committed to the University of Arkansas!! WPS"

Wimberly, who was offered by the Razorbacks after an impressive camp performance in June, is the Hogs' second commitment for the Class of 2025, joining in-state quarterback Grayson Wilson of Central Arkansas Christian.

Wimberly chose to stay at home over scholarship offers from Michigan, Memphis, Sam Houston State, UAPB and UT-Martin. He was recruited to Fayetteville by defensive backs coaches Marcus Woodson and Deron Wilson.

The in-state product has yet to receive a ranking by 247Sports.

Arkansas gained its second commitment in the class of 2025 on Saturday with the addition of Bauxite athlete Marcus Wimberly.

Wimberly was on Arkansas' campus during the Hogwild Hangout Saturday and later made the announcement on his Twitter account.

Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman extended an offer to Wimberly on June 17 at a summer football camp. Shortly after, he picked up an offer from Michigan. He also holds offers from Memphis, Sam Houston State and others.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound athlete plays multiple positions in the high school ranks and is projected to play defense for Arkansas. His father, Tommy, is the head football coach at Bauxite.

With Wimberly's commitment, Arkansas stands at two in the class of 2025. He joins three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson, who committed on April 15.

The latest update of the 2025 Rivals250 was released on Tuesday, and several Arkansas targets landed among some of the best in the country.

So far in the class, Arkansas has two in-state targets committed in Central Arkansas Christian’s Grayson Wilson and Bauxite athlete Marcus Wimberly.

The Hogs are also pushing hard for Pleasant Grove High School athlete Lance Jackson, the brother of current Arkansas defensive end Landon Jackson.

There are two recruits on the list from inside the state. Little Rock Parkview's Omarion Robinson has been a mainstay on the list, as well as Bryant running back Daniel Anderson.

Anderson has yet to report an offer from the Razorbacks, but given it's still somewhat early for the class of 2025 and how the coaching staff recruits its in-state crop, it's possible the Hogs join the race for Anderson's services later this year.

With that said, here’s a list of players Arkansas is targeting on the updated 2025 Rivals250.

St. Louis Cardinal Ritter running back Jamarion Parker announced his commitment to the Arkansas Razorbacks on Friday afternoon.

Parker is a four-star prospect who now gives the Razorbacks three commitments in the 2025 class.

“He’s very dynamic and explosive,” said Cardinal Ritter head coach Brennan Spain. “He’s able to make nothing out of something and can make something that’s wrong right. You can see where he can add another 15 to 20 pounds. He has a track background and he’s an all-around player. He’s not a running back that has a lot of, he’s not banged up, so I think that’s what Arkansas is getting.”

Parker burst onto the radar as a freshman. He missed his sophomore season but is still a four-star recruit and top 25 running back per 247Sports thanks to his speed (10.99 100-meter dash as a freshman) and big-play ability.

He rushed for 199 yards last week in Ritter’s first game.

Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Nebraska, Texas A&M and others had offered previously.

He has visited Arkansas three times, most recently in the spring. Razorbacks running backs coach Jimmy Smith was the primary recruiter, and a major reason Parker chose Arkansas.

“Coach Smith, the running backs coach, has done a great job keeping tabs on him, staying in touch, and talking to him about more than just football,” Spain said. “Jamarion has been in the unfortunate situation where he’s had some significant deaths and they’ve always been there. Coach Smith and Coach Pittman have done an excellent job and I think that’s important for the kids and know that they care off the field as much as on the field.”

Parker will play in the 2025 Under Armour All-America Game.

St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter College Prep 2025 four-star running back Jamarion Parker first visited Arkansas during his freshman year. He returned a second time, and the Razorbacks became a program that stood out early in his recruitment.

Over the past two years, he’s amassed more than 25 early offers, including The Razorbacks, Oregon, Purdue, Louisville, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Michigan State. After visiting Fayetteville for the fifth time when he tripped there this summer, he felt like it was time for a commitment.

On Friday, he publicly announced for the Razorbacks and head coach Sam Pittman.

“It started with visits to Arkansas two times during my freshman year,” he told On3. “Now I have been there five times. It is always great there, I feel comfortable, and I love it there. It is not too far from home and it is fun going back and forth. Just being on campus feels right. The coaches make me comfortable and the atmosphere is a lot like mine at home.”

Pittman and his staff made an impression early and often on Parker, who says the Razorbacks have been at or near the top for pretty much his entire recruitment.

“In my mind, since my freshman year, they have been up there,” he added. “They recruited me hard from the beginning. I picked them because how comfortable they made me feel, Coach Smith, Coach Pittman and the whole staff all mess with me. They just know me and make me feel at home.”

RBs Jimmy Smith played a pivotal role with Parker

In addition to Pittman’s personal involvement in the recruitment, the efforts of running backs coach Jimmy Smith were as crucial as anything in landing Parker.

The two have developed a strong relationship both on and off the field.

“He is a real coach, and he’s been on me hard since freshman year,” Parker said. “He always lets me know how much they want me, and we have built a connection. I have great talks with him and we have a great connection now. He is real and I like him a lot. Arkansas made me feel special, like they wanted me. From Coach Pittman to Coach Smith all the way down the whole staff.”

Parker is also excited about the chance to play in the SEC and compete against the nation’s best.

“They play tough teams and have a great schedule this season,” he said. “They have been playing well under Pittman and I am ready to get there and get developed. They produce running backs, they feature the running backs and I am ready to help.”

Arkansas added a third commitment to its 2025 class Friday as four-star running back Jamarion Parker called the Hogs.

A product of Cardinal Ritter College Prep in St. Louis, Parker is ranked the No. 236 player in the class of 2025, according to Rivals, and he holds offers from Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Nebraska and others.

Parker is the No. 5 player in the state of Missouri in the 2025 class. He released a top-7 on June 22 that included Arkansas, Missouri, Purdue, Tennessee, Oregon, Michigan State and Louisville.

Arkansas running backs coach Jimmy Smith continues his impressive run recruiting his position, as Parker is the third four-star running back in the last two recruiting cycles to join the fold.

The Hogs now have three recruits committed in the class of 2025, as Parker joins in-state commits Grayson Wilson and Marcus Wimberly.

Arkansas landed its running back of the future when class of 2025 Rivals250 running back Jamarion Parker announced his commitment to the program via Twitter Friday afternoon.

The St. Louis (Mo.) Cardinal Ritter standout chose Arkansas over a final group of schools that also included Purdue, Tennessee, Michigan State, Oregon, Louisville and Oklahoma. Parker joins defensive back Marcus Wimberly and quarterback Grayson Wilson to become the Razorbacks third commit in a 2025 class that now ranks No. 18 overall following his announcement.

What the Razorbacks are getting...
The Missouri native is as complete as they come with a plus frame, dynamic cutting ability and legit track speed - running a personal best of 10.99 in the 100 meters his freshman track season. After missing his sophomore year, Parker kicked his junior season off with a bang by running for 199 yards and a touchdown during Ritter's 52-6 victory over McCluer week one.

Parker will add an extra dimension to the Razorback's rushing attack as his ability as a pass catcher is equal to that as a rusher and he is capable of hitting the home run from multiple spots on the field. Parker is listed as an all-purpose back, but with the skill-set to play pretty much any skill position on the field, he is an athlete in every sense of the word.

As good as Parker is right now, he's at a relatively raw stage of his development and his best football is definitely in front of him. This is a huge recruiting win for Sam Pittman and running backs coach Jimmy Smith as Parker is one of the best players in the 2025 class regardless of position.

3. JACKSON CANTWELL

quote:

Gorney's Take: The 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive tackle from Nixa, Mo., not only has the size and skill to be an elite football player but he’s also a star in track and field and has one of the best pedigrees in the history of Rivals dating back to 2002.

Cantwell’s father, Christian, went to Missouri and then earned the silver medal in shot put in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and placed fourth in the 2012 London Olympics. His mother, Teri, competed in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

Oklahoma, Missouri and a host of others are involved.

LINK

quote:

The reason I didn’t say Stewart is the most impressive prospect in the entire 2026 class so far is because that honor might go to offensive lineman Jackson Cantwell out of small-town Nixa, Mo. He’s all of 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds, moves well for his size and he has the best pedigree of anyone as both of his parents were in the Olympics for track and field.

LINK

quote:

Both of Jackson Cantwell’s parents are former Olympic athletes, giving him an athletic pedigree that few recruits in recent memory can match. His genetic profile isn’t the only trait that stands out, as the Nixa (Mo.) product measures in at a towering 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds, with the athleticism to match his size, making him the prototype for a future NFL left tackle. While there may be a handful of 2026 recruits that can match his size, there are none that match his combination of size, athleticism and body control at this stage.

The NFL draft tells us that a quarterback is most likely to get drafted first overall, making the best player at that position more likely to land in the top spot each recruiting cycle. And while offensive tackle comes third in the NFL draft’s top pick pecking order, Cantwell has all of the tools to jockey for the top spot in his class.

The five-star will have his choice of any school in the country, but there are already five schools appearing to stand out above the rest in Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Georgia and Alabama.

TE: Kendre' Harrison

quote:

Harrison is a fairly rare athlete at the tight end position. He is a high-end basketball player with a handful of scholarship offers on the hardwood. His future, however, is on the football field, and defenders should be very concerned with how they can match up with Harrison.

The 6-foot-7, 237-pound tight end has impressive coordination in the open field, does a great job catching the ball with his hands and is an ideal jump-ball target in the red zone. Harrison may not be overly dynamic with the ball in his hands, but he's hard to bring down.

quote:

OL: Jackson Cantwell

quote:

Cantwell is 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds with two parents who both competed in the Olympics. Who wants to bet against a player with that kind of athletic profile? Joking aside, Cantwell has eye-popping traits and outstanding film. He plays with the strength you'd expect from one of the country's best shot-put throwers and consistently plays with proper leverage.

Cantwell's footwork is impressive, and he is quick out of his stance and much more nimble than defenders expect. That quickness is a major asset to Cantwell as a pass blocker. He effectively mirrors the oncoming defensive lineman and shoots his hands with power. Cantwell can have a tendency to overextend and he'll continue work on setting and resetting his hands in pass protection.

quote:

DE: Jahkeem Stewart

quote:

Size, strength, quickness, aggressiveness and advanced technique – Stewart has it all and should only continue to get better. In almost any other year, Stewart would probably be the top overall prospect in the Rivals250.

Considering how technically and physically advanced he is as a prospect, Stewart would have a strong case to be a five-star in the 2024 class. It will be interesting to see how his game changes as he gets older.

Listed as a strongside defensive end, Stewart has the height (6-foot-6), length (34-inch arms) and agility to play on the edge of the defense, but he has the frame of a prospect who could easily bump inside and be a dominant defensive tackle.

quote:

DB: Blaine Bradford

quote:

Bradford is a dangerous defender in the secondary. The Louisiana native is a big hitter who has no issues dislodging the ball from the hands of would-be receivers. At 6-foot-2, Bradford has the size to be an intimidating presence and be a very effective run defender.

He has good instincts and reads the quarterback well. Bradford is very comfortable playing downhill and close to the line of scrimmage. His aggressive style should translate to the next level.

Jackson Cantwell - Arkansas

quote:

It has to be considered a great sign for Arkansas that Cantwell is making a return trip to Fayetteville, and even though he’s a 2026 prospect with a lot of recruiting left before making his decision his relationships there are getting stronger.

Only about two hours from home, Arkansas is definitely an interesting option for Cantwell as Oklahoma and many others pursue him as the early five-star prospect is already making waves in recruiting.

The Hogs got some good news on the recruiting front after a 7-3 loss to Mississippi State on Saturday in Fayetteville, as 2025 kicker Evan Noel committed to the Razorbacks.

Kohl’s ranks Noel as the No. 1 kicker in the country in the 2025 class. He chose the Hogs over an offer from Ole Miss.

Noel made the announcement on his X/Twitter account.

Noel handles kickoffs, field goals and punts for St. Stanislaus Catholic School in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. According to MaxPreps, Noel is 25-of-26 on extra points, 7-for-11 on field goals and has punted nine times for 369 yards, landing three inside the 20-yard-line.

The Bay Saint Louis product was a MaxPreps sophomore first-team All-American in 2022, and a Second-Team Preseason All-American selection as a junior by MaxPreps.

Noel joins three-star quarterback Grayson Wilson, in-state safety Marcus Wimberly and four-star running back Jamarion Parker in the class of 2025.
