Andrew Chamblee’s uncle posts on 247 and made a post 3 hours ago insinuating someone committed. I’m guessing Nico since it’s Chamblee’s uncle.

Nico's rating was bumped on Rivals in early June when they expected he would go to Oklahoma.

It won't possibly change with this latest news.

With the exception of Satenga, Pittman has absolutely cleaned up instate. Pretty impressive considering at one point it looked like we might not get any of the top 5.

Sategna's top 2 are now Oregon and USC. No chance in hell they complete the sweep, but it's still quite impressive. I just hope it's close to the 08 class.

I don't view Sategna as an in-state recruit, he was only at Fayetteville HS because his dad got fired from head track coach at Texas by new Longhorns Athletic Director Chris Del Conte, who had been on the job for two months. Del Conte said the program needed a new direction after Sategna resumed his head coaching duties Jan. 11, 2017, after a leave of absence and began taking Sept. 12, 2016 (his indefinite personal leave, was the subject of an ethics and misconduct probe). Texas hired Razorback alum and NCAA triple jump champion Edrick Floréal who had great success at Kentucky.

Bucknam lost Travis Geopfert (jumpers and field events) after the Lawson run of success to Tennessee to be assistant head coach so he hired Mario to be his second assistant. Doug Case is Bucknam's right had man and has been with him since Northern Iowa.

Mario resigned as Arkansas assistant coach a few days before regionals and nationals this spring.

Sategna is the rare track recruit over football.

So then he's going to Oregon if he's a track guy, right?

Also, how many great track coaches has Bucknam run off during his terrible tenure at Arkansas??

I expect Oregon unless USC gets his dad a job maybe.

Bucknam is in the Mike Anderson mold of a head coach. His assistants typically never leave. Until the one went to Tennessee they both came with him from Northern Iowa back in 2007.

Did we have someone committed elsewhere visiting? Chamblee’s uncle just posted “Game over. Flip, flip” on 247. He called the Nico commit well in advance so I’m guessing Andrew gave him the scoop on something else.

Sad if so! We used to be a track school.

Nikki Chavenelle or whatever is gone. Took Alabama recruiting gig for Shannon Terry's new site On3.

Shannon Terry's next site adventure. Starts August 15.

Lots of news on twitter at sbterry247 and on3sports.

Nikki's moving to Jacksonville in mid-July to cover recruits in the south but specifically for Alabama.

Did Nikki get fired from Rivals or did she get this job first? Her tweet about leaving was super odd.

I assume she took this job but had to wait before announcing it because of her Rivals contract. Hutch certainly had her replacement ready to go.

I remember reading Danny signed a new multi year contract with 247 recently.

So, Terry started Rivals, then left, and started 247, and then left and started whatever this new site is??

What the hell? What's the point?

Money. He sold Rivals to Yahoo for $100M and then sold 247 to CBS for even more.

She definitely didn't get fired. She's been one of the most well-liked Arkansas media members for the past few years. She's a smart, attractive woman that understands the sport in a profession dominated by old dudes that look like Nate Allen and Bob Holt. Nikki is a breath of fresh air in the industry and I'd bet my house that she was sought out by Terry and offered a big raise.
