I just googled it. That looks pretty damn cool. If I wasn't moving away in two weeks, I'd hit that up.

I was honestly disappointed by the actual goat trail. It was nice. But not nearly as vertical as it seems from the Buffalo. I'm glad I did it. But the best part was hiking the old River trail.

Cool thing about that trail is that back in the day kids had to walk that shite to school. Lol. Hillbilly stuff for real. There is a part that gets pretty narrow and they thought it was too dangerous for 7 and 8 year old kids so they blew a hole in the bluff.

Now walking halfway across your gated front yard without a phone charged at least 95% is too dangerous for 7-8 year-olds.

To play devil's advocate... Is it the kid's or parent's fault?

Personally. I'm glad I was the last generation to grow up without so much technology. I mean, my dad was always into technology. I had a386 PC in 3rd grade. But I don't think I had a phone until high school. Middle School, it was beepers. So I was right on the edge before things exploded.

But we went outside to play until dark, built tree houses, and pretty much acted like savages, as was expected.

Yeah man, kids are far more capable than people these days realise. People have a very strong sense of self preservation. Most do anyways.

Another weird story about that place out there took place at Hawksbill Crag. Grandparents took a 5 year old girl hiking and she got lost. Huge search party and she was found days later miles away. She had walked a 300' bluff line like 5 miles.

ETA: Weird part of the story is she said a lady in a white dress led her along the bluffs. Lol
