We have a 2016 crosstrek. Still drives great in the snow and ice (we're in Colorado), but I will say the transmission just went out, and we have a friend with a 2014 crosstrek that just had the engine blow.
Hasn't turned me off the brand, and I have friends that have had theirs for longer with no issues. My Honda lasted from 2006 to 2020 with no mechanical issues at all though, and my parents have had a CR-V, Highlander, T-100, accord with the same track record. Hard to beat Honda or Toyota when it comes to reliability imo.

My Sierra does the same thing. Good to know I drive a safe vehicle.
Every car does that now.

I had a FJ cruiser for 15 years only thing that went wrong in 150K+ miles was the fuel float that tells you how much gas you have went out.

Get the larger version then....the Blazer. I don't look at safety ratings that closely, but I remember the Blazer being up there on safety ratings. Double check me.
The V6 Blazer engine is a performer. Plus, she won't look like a California commie pinko yankee driving down the road in a Subaru.
Also, GM's customer satisfaction rating is very high. You also mentioned a Bronco...Ford's are terrible in customer satisfaction rating. I think the Bronco might be one of the vehicles with the most recalls out there. Once again, double check me.

Previously drove Subarus and had a friend who was in an awful wreck that should have killed him - car saved his life and he didn’t have a scratch on him. They’re great cars all around and a great value. They’ve also been doing AWD on cars longer than everyone else and have more clearance on almost all of their vehicles. I drive a truck chassis SUV now, but I’d buy a Subaru again for sure.

quote:It's great just make sure you have good insurance. Need to replace and it cost at least $1500. Insurance companies will only pay partial tho because they think Safelite can warranty them but they can't because windshields require a calibration done at the dealership with tech that Safelite can't replicate with a warranty.
Eyesight and automatic cruise is legit.
