Losing on the road is one thing, but when you start dropping home games to unranked opponents after being here this long, it's time to go. His style of basketball doesn't work anymore. It does what it's supposed to do, we're 2nd in the nation in turnovers, yet we still can't win. That should say it all. Time to get an up to date coach.

MA is NEVER going to win a national championship. He's just nowhere near good enough at X/O's. Even if we miraculously managed to get into the tournament one of these days, we'll always be at a disadvantage against similarly talented teams due to the pathetic offensive identity of MA.
We're not going to fire him, obviously. In fact, he'll do well enough next year that we're probably going to have a borderline NCAA team until MA retires.

My biggest worry is that we MAKE the NCAAT next year and get bounced in the first round. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat.
I suppose Jeff Long believes, for now, that MA can win a national championship. I just don't see it. His coaching isn't good enough. He'd have to get a top 3 recruiting class year-in and year-out for that to ever be a possibility. Just absolutely has no idea how to run a half court offense.

God I hope they're legit backups. All we've seen of Austin is his high school film. Brandon also had an impressive high school film. That's all we've seen of Peavey too but I'm more excited about him from top to bottom. His physical tools to his personality to his leadership ability. He seems to have it all. It just sucks that he's a true freshman and not a redshirt sophomore.
