So did Petrino and still won nothing….hmmmm

In fact, what Petrino had was much more offensive talent across the board but won nothing.

Great qb and receivers, tight end, great running back. Take DMac away from Nutt and that would be a killer. Petrino had more weapons yet everyone here adores him for winning nothing.

Cool story I guess.

Nutt became the first football head coach since Fred Thomsen to survive back to back losing seasons and that was back in the 30s.

Danny Ford won an SEC West title back in 95, fired after the 97 season.

Nutt failed to do anything with a loaded 2003 team, back to back losing seasons but wasn't fired.

Why did Nutt get two free seasons while Ford was fired two years removed from winning an SEC West title?

Nutt was fixing to board a flight to Nebraska to potentially become their head coach. The program was going under ncaa sanctions for paying athletes which was none of Nutt’s doing and they knew it would kill recruiting for a couple of years.

Nutt was talked into staying and endured the inevitable which we all knew was coming. But he still was able to recruit well enough to break out in the 3rd year.

I know you hate the man’s guts, but he did pretty damn well here especially if you compare it to what has happened since Petrino bit the dust. You got what you deserve, congratulations. The rest of us have to endure it.

Nutt would have won the sec championship with shitty qb play if Fish would have let that punt go into the end zone untouched.

Urban Meyer had a deer in the headlights look on his face before they recovered that muff for a touchdown.

Was that Nutt’s fault? Was that missed foul ball Dave Van Horn’s fault?

You hate Nutt, I get it.

Nutt would have never won an SEC title, keep dreaming.

LSU, Florida and Wisconsin were the toughest opponents played on the schedule who had superior QB play. Arkansas never had a chance of winning those games with Mustain and Dick. All they had to do was slow down the RB trio enough to put them in tough passing situations. That is what happened and they lost.

It takes more than a good rushing attack to win in the SEC, you need to pass the ball when you need to keep defenses honest which didn't happen.

Urban Meyer wasn't going to lose to Nutt. He can't win the big games as we know it would end in a typical Arkansas disaster.

Yes it is his fault for failing to have a developed QB on the team. You would think that being at Arkansas for 10 years that he would have decent QBs.

I don't hate Nutt but I never seen anyone come to his aid that Nutt is above criticism and he could do no wrong. Are you related to Nutt?

We’ll never know, but he came closer than anyone else and made the program respectable and attractive enough for Petrino and beliema to ask for the job.

No coach is above criticism and I was aggravated and critical plenty of times during his tenure just like with Broyles, Holtz and Hatfield. I haven’t hated any of our coaches.

I don’t know Nutt personally, we did play against his team in high school. Were you part of the hogville lynch mob?

Hogs suck.

rangers won World Series though. Hope baseball team is decent this year. If they crap the bed, I think I’m just about done watching Arkansas. Wouldn’t even be a fan if I wasn’t from here anyway

We won't but Nutt was here long enough to know what he can or cannot do. If you can't win an SEC title with Darren McFadden then the possibility of ever winning one is slim to none.

No I was never part of that lynch mob from Hogville. That never does any good and it solves nothing.

Miami fans did the same to Butch Davis by flying banners. But Unlike Nutt, he was able to shut his critics up by winning and not foolishly engage with the fans.
