The fact that they were confiscated would suggest just that. Might not be the reason but certainly could be.

The police state, and them finding guns around "drugs" is reason enough for them to take them, and anything else they believe they can try and justify was purchased with his drug money except he runs an oblong spheroid on sunday and will be difficult for them to continue to steal his property like they wish they could.

Yeah you really can't have a gun and weed on you. It's just the law even if you aren't high. Weed's actually decriminalized in Maryland for under 10 grams then it goes from 10gs to 50 lbs so I don't really get the intent to distribute charge for 5 ozs especially considering who he is. The gun and drugs combo will probably end up being the bigger factor than the amount of weed.

This is bullshite. Marijuana is a superior antiinflammatory to all other alternatives. It works better, and doesn't play hell on your liver like ALL pills do.

Football players smoking weed go together like peanutbutter and jelly. What's stupid is that we still abide these ridiculous medieval type laws. We may as well be still using leeches to bloodlet our ills.

ETA: At the end of the day his biggest problem is that he wasn't smart enough to have someone deliver his product to his front door.

I pay $135 for a half oz and that's with a discount. Oz go for $300. That would be $1500.

1) we know he is a hunter
2) he is a high visibility multimillionaire. He would be stupid not to carry a pistol.

He should also know not to carry 5 oz of weed with a weapon. That's just ignorant.

Dude what?

He made 630k this year. AKA 300,000 after taxes.

Dude is nothing more than upper middle class, maybe worse after all the dinners, strippers, enterouge and other BS they spend money on.

Oh really? Wow. I don't follow the NFL so I didn't realize he had devalued like that.

Either way, like I said initially, his big mistake was not having someone deliver it to him. It isn't difficult. Most of those NFL types either do, or should, have a personal assistant.

Well, he's on another level. He has the kind of money where he can pay other people to carry a pistol for him. But you'd be a fool if you think Warren Buffet isn't concerned with his personal safety when he is out and about.

It's not too big a deal when you're just a rando with a lot of money, but it would get dicey if you have a lot of money and everyone knows who you are. It's just the way it is. There's been stories of athletes being kidnapped held up, the works. You can rest assured that most of them have means of protecting themselves at all times. I would.

Also, doesn't Alex Collins live in Baltimore these days? I've seen The Wire. I know what that place is like. You'd better believe that if I lived there I would keep a .38 in the truck.
