I vote Chris Del Conte at TCU. He has their baseball and football teams humming. He has their basketball team on the ride with the hire Jamie Dixon. He got them to be able to join the Big 12. He got the donors to expand their football stadium.

According to Tyler Thomason, we will be looking for an AD with Arkansas ties that understand what the program means to the entire state of Arkansas and not just NWA. That doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies that we’re about to upgrade with this next hire.

Exactly and with Frank passing away the inmates will have full control of the asylum.

No I’d just rather have someone get the job because they’re good at it rather than them just being from Arkansas. If they can find a good candidate that has that then I’m happy but I’m not a fan of (insert former player here) getting the job with zero qualifications other than he played for the Hogs.

I made my suggestion on who I wanted (not a prediction) not too long ago in a thread. I know the interest has been expressed to him, but I just don’t see him taking it on right now.

If you're talking dudes that know football coaches, go with the dude at Toledo and hire Matt Campbell.

Thats why I like the TCU AD. He has done very well since being there.

I can't even think of an obvious candidate that fits that bill of the top of my head. Maybe the NFL will get Jerry to forefeit the Cowboys franchise after all.
Hell he can do both, right? Theres not an obvious choice out there (IF you're looking for the above) unless you're willing to go business acumen without sports background or sports background without business acumen. I really don't think the department is in the best shape to take any kind of risk on an AD right now.

Never going to happen.
I understand you are upset, but Jeff Long is going to be just fine. He’ll move on very quickly, and without a doubt, to a more prestigious position. No slam on our AD position, but Jeff will be more valuable on a national level.
