Guess curfew doesn't mean anything.

The mayor was out marching past curfew last night.

A crowd of about 150 kneeled in front of a row of Arkansas State Police troopers outside the gates of the mansion. The crowd was peaceful. As of 9:11 p.m., there had been no arrests and no reports of property damage.

For the record: our digital reporters were detained after showing press credentials and told they were being arrested with protesters. After about 10 minutes, they were released

The Bentonville PD handled that shite on their own last night.

Got pretty wild a couple times, but they made it pretty clear they were ready to kick arse if you got out of line. Once the rowdy protesters realized it wouldn't go well they went home.

All the cops have to do is display dominance the first couple times a few get out of line. After that they fold and chant frick the police.

meh......police had no need for riot gear in Fayetteville tonight - no need to display dominance. They worked hand and hand with the organizers and as far as I now nobody got unruly outside of people lighting firworks. No reporters detained. No reporters beat up. Nobody maced. A whole lot of yelling and cussing. Some debates. But peace in the end:

we rallied in peace for peace here in Fayetteville

I'll add that the fireworks were done in a peaceful manner and not aimed at the media or police -

fireworks on the square

sometimes it resembled more of a block party than a protest:

there is no violence here only love and joy

I'm sure this will piss of somebody: FPD taking a knee with protestors.

At a certain point what do you do but set shite on fire till someone will listen? this isn't ideal but you know, i really don't know what other options they have at this point to get something in motion.

Rioting and looting aren't great but how many people are we going to let get killed by a militarized police force fighting a war against us.

We need accountability and transparency nationwide for policing of citizens. If you get 17 complaints at your job and you aren't fired, how the frick does you boss even keep his job. system is broken.
