Good play with a short bench again.
Liked the pickup on defense, albeit against a depleted LSU team.

I’ll say it, team is better without Knox and DJ.

I think it will be good to have them back just for depth, but yeah it’s hard to say they should have much of a role other than ~5 minutes per game to let Acuff/Thomas/TB/Billy get a a breather

for sure without DJ... I still think Knox brings intangibles. All DJ has done most of the year is steal minutes from Maleek. If we get NCAAT DJ then welcome back big fella.... regular season DJ comes with a lot of frustration.

Maleek attacking with confidence like he was last night is a game changer.
And his defense has gotten tremendously better. He’s a menace in the passing lanes and is learning how to use his length for what he lacks in strength.

I think DJ is possibly our best on ball defender but his offensive game is not good as of late. More minutes for Maleek is the key going forward, dude is so smooth for a freshman

Agree on Knox. There's too much talent there to not contribute. He's a better shooter than Billy, which will be needed at some point. Also, with the way Billy plays, there will be nights he's in foul trouble.
As for DJ, I can't imagine anyone could justify giving him meaningful minutes over Maleek. By now, it should be apparent that DJ isn't an off-ball guard. He simply doesn't shoot well enough, and I don't see his defense being anything but marginally better, if at all.

I think Cal should bring DJ off the bench with a big lineup. Let him play point for a bit and be a leader while giving Acuff a spell.

My issue with DJ when he gets into the game he seems to think he’s option #1 on offense
