Annor on campus for his official.

Interested to hear what comes of it. He’s highly rated but for whatever reason it seems like comms between him & the staff are low.

Likely because we are all in on Tre Johnson.

I figure the only three we are really willing to take are Carter, Johnson, and Ali.

Elite college basketball teams aren’t taking freshman unless they can start day 1. Transfer portal changed the game.

Years past Thomas and Botang would be on the take at any point list because you had to develop players.

Johnson has visited 5 schools and we're not one. If he's not visiting soon forget him.

The visit went really well. Will be very surprising if Boateng isn't a Hog

Gonna need King to weigh in first. He’s his new handler now.

Unlimited visits these days. He can official all of his top 8 if he wants. All the free vacations he wants paid for on the schools dime. I’d have officials lined up to every top school in the country just to get the celebrity treatment.

I believe he's down to 6. Ark and Bama are the only 2 he hasn't visited of those.

But the point wasn't that he can't visit, it's that he still hasn't and might not at all. It feels like we won't make his next cut right now.

Probably saving his top two for last. Check out the others, see what they have to offer and then go to the two you like the most and see how they stack up.

Huge from a depth perspective. I'm loving our guards, but Makhi, Brazile, Fall, and Graham give us some solid options in the frontcourt

I thought he was going to Auburn

Maybe none of that crap was true.

He told me his goal is to be a one and done. That is in Muss' favor I believe. I think it will depend on how he does this year really. If he gets that 5th star on all the sites and blows up... He very well may be a hog unless somebody just blows us out of the water with NIL $.

Hogs play Stanford first in the Battle 4 Atlantis. After that, they'll play the winner/loser of Michigan/Memphis. Then will play against UNI, Villanova, UNC, or Texas Tech

So as someone that follows the basketball team but isn’t plugged in to the recruiting as much as I would like to be, are the Hogs gonna be a contender this season?

Most preseason polls have the hogs as top 16. The depth is typical for a Musselman team as it's fantastic.

The backcourt is looking phenomenal. Returning Devo is so huge, and we added the only bright spot for Louisville last season, a big guard who has a phenomenal 3 point shot and is a true level scorer, and a starter from a 1 seed who averaged 10 ppg.

The front court is the weaker point, though Brazile as we know is a unicorn. Makhi is coming off a foot injury but was a capable starter in the SEC. Graham has the offense but needs to improve defensively, and Baye Fall is an incoming 5 star who is extremely versatile and long.

I didn't even mention Davenport and Pinion, who are great 3 point shooters with questionable defense. Layden Blocker was a 5 star on some services, and is more of a "pure" point guard than El Ellis.

In my opinion, this team has amazing guards, and seniors. These are the two checklist items for teams who have had amazing NCAA runs the last few seasons. On paper, I don't think this roster is at Kansas or Duke level this year, but I think it can hang with anyone and could be dangerous come March.

Take this with a grain of salt, I'm a relative basketball noob.

This team is going to be extremely gritty, tough & physical. Having Devo & Tramon on the floor at the same time is scary defense. You’re talking two lockdown defenders.

It’s Hog basketball. Just drink a full glass of the Kool Aid and enjoy the ride to the top or bottom.
