Jones back to suckage after just one good game against Grambling.

He just swung at three balls to strike out

I was sitting there in the 9th inning just thinking "Jesus, nothing ever comes easy for us, does it?"

While we're talking about Jayson Jones, it's worth noting that 8th inning AB was one of the worst I've ever seen.

Swung wildly at 3 straight pitches in the dirt and off the plate. Holy shite it was awful. Thankfully we lucked into a passed ball to plate an insurance run.

Not writing the kid off by any means, but that was a horrendous plate appearance in a crucial situation.

His approach is wildy reminiscent of Brady Slavens

Legit terrible ab.

I really feel better with Holt at 3rd.

Sandlot has 3rd locked down right now, DVH loves him.

Stovall is immediately starting at 2B when he's back full time every game per DVH as well.

DH is open for one, White or Polk suck.

I would think that if Stovall plugs right in at second, then we would see Sprague-Lott fill in the DH roll and Holt over at third. Seems to make sense?

I think if we are talking about overall lineup..I really like Lovich in the outfield. He is at nearly 20 at bats on the season and is hitting 471. I know it is known on here that I am not a fan of Jayson Jones, but right now I am just as disappointed in Wilmsmeyer. He needs to be a high OB% guy and he has not been being that. .353 OB% so far this year. With his speed, he needs to be on base more.

I'll take Polk over White at DH if given a choice between the two.

Neither inpire confidence, though Polk is slashing .300 /.429 /.600 in his limited appearances, and DVH seems to have warmed to him in PH situations.

it’s still early, but this might be another season where we get nothing offensively from the catcher position. White, Helfrick, and Rowland are batting a combined .125 on 56 AB's.

White and Helfrick have been an adventure behind the dish, to put it charitably. Rowland is our best defensive catcher but might also be the hitter in the roster.

That said, when Stovall gets back, Sandlot is likely our DH while platooning with Holt at 3rd, who himself with likely platoon with Stovall at 2B when Peyton needs a day off.

Sounded like DVH was saying Sandlot is the 3B for the foreseeable future. I would guess platoon maybe, and Souza is earning more AB's too.
