Some defensive adventures in this game from Jones, Coll, etc

Jones especially hasn't acquitted himself or made a good case to play. Hasn't hit or fielded well in this series.

DVH says he’s “50/50” to play Friday. Feels like this kind of injury is usually a 1-2 week sort of thing

Not to play the 20/20 hindsight game, but I have no idea why guys like Wegner, Bohrofen and Josenberger played as much as they did the last two games.

Wegner was sliding into bases, Josenberger was fouling pitches off his foot, and Bohrofen was taking HBP’s and I was thinking “what the hell are they doing?”

This is what these types of games and the sec tourney are good for. Nothing to gain or lose by playing subs to avoid injuries.

Winning or losing these games brings nothing one way or another.

I was half expecting the lineup to be littered with guys like Robinett, Neville, Grimes, and McLaughlin. Hell, I might’ve even put Bolton at DH to give him a chance to hit out of his slump.

I was surprised to see guys like Josenberger, Stovall, Slavens, and Ibuprofen in the lineup. Especially Josenberger and Stovall given the physical demands of their positions.

It is very difficult to only face live pitching on weekends and be successful. Stovall was swinging it pretty good until he got banged up and quit playing midweeks. Honestly, Wegner needed some swings after last weekend.

I think DVH was hoping to bring some folks into form that have been a bit off. He may have rolled the dice and come up snake eyes on that one.

Nothing we can do about Rowland, but Bolton in the lineup legit makes me angry.
