In a nutshell, we have three good weekend starters (now that Mac looks to have shaken out of his funk), one good (+ healthy) reliever in Carter, and then a colossal dropoff after that.
I mean, just look at these ERAs:
Hagen Smith - 1.40
Hunter Hollan - 2.18
Koty Frank (RIP) - 3.09
Dylan Carter - 3.46
Will McEntire - 3.48
Brady Tygart (RIP?) - 5.68
Gage Wood - 6.00
Parker Coil - 6.75
Ben Bybee - 6.75
Austin Ledbetter - 8.10
Cody Adcock - 8.74
Zack Morris 14.21
Cooper Dossett - 21.60
Jake Faherty - 40.50
I’ve said this before, but this feels like a poor man’s version of our 2021 team -- an offense that can rake but a shallow, top-heavy pitching staff with three good starters, one good reliever, and a bunch of empty calories after that who can’t be trusted in leverage situations.

2016 he came on and cried about America being racist or whatever right after the election, maybe before.
So I finally just paid for Spotify.

From what little I know about him and have heard, that doesn't surprise me.

I agree with this as of now but 1 or 2 more arms could still establish themselves. Heck, even Carter really has only established himself in the last 10 days or so - before that, he wasn’t lighting the world on fire either.
What scares me is I wonder how much of our success this year is going to come down to trying to get Tygart back as quick as possible and then needing him to perform at Kopps levels - when riding him that hard is probably the last thing we need to do with him nursing the elbow.

We did the same thing with him last year.
Tygart came on strong early and DVH started calling on him for more 6-9 out saves just like we’d done with Kopps the year before. By the end of the regular season those saves started coming harder and harder for him, with more hits and runs given up, and by the end of the season he started having control issues and imploded.

Unreal that 13-2 is good enough for 4th in the West.
The level of baseball in the SEC is incredible.
