I've liked everyone we've seen tonight, to be honest.

Ah, they made the mistake of throwing anywhere but high and inside against Slavens.
For all the shite he gets, he's had a good game. Two really big leadoff hits tonight.

You would've thought Texass scouted that

I’m nervous about Tygart in a leverage situation.
He was nails most of the year but absolutely fell the frick apart last season down the stretch.

Is Cali a Make-A-Wish player or something?
How is he starting?

Pitching looks extremely strong. Offense looks streaky just like last year.

Brady throwing strikes. Good sign.

He's flat out unfair when that slider is hitting the zone. That thing is filthy.

Amen.
Tygart looked like early season Tygart of old. That was a huge 5 out save, especially coming in in a high leverage situation like that.
Pitching was nails tonight. Hagen was incredible.
Batters need to have better plate discipline and put across runs. We’re still stranding too many runners trying to play home run hero ball, and we’re still running counts to 0-2 regularly. We had some absolutely atrocious at bats tonight. Good opposing pitching or not, Cali needs to sit.

Cali looked terrible. Team as a whole has terrible discipline in 3-ball counts. Drives me nuts. We used to be so damn good at drawing walks.

This isn’t directed toward any one person but generally speaking, it may be too early into the season to be definitely defining players, no?

We won 3-2 over Texas for anyone that came here and wanted to know the actual score.
How did our attack angles look? Some awesome swings it sounds like with very little contact?
Sounds like we’ve been working hard at the plate again this off season. Did we build a 20M batting facility or is it still just pitching? That’s all DvH needs!
