I simply don't see how any of these ever play meaningful minutes with what Muss wants from his teams.
I actually think Ford seems like a fairly prototypical Muss player.

Lol no

Pinion cannot guard SEC level athletes. This isn't 1997, everyone has to be able to play D. He literally has to foul his man every possession.. and the opposition runs Iso against him every time he steps foot on the floor. No amount of off-season work will fix that.

I don't think we see any of these guys next year outside of Devo, maybe Ford, and the preppy white dude from Fayetteville... Muss has looked like he's hated this team most of the season.

He has the 2 stud freshman signed already and NIL will dictate the rest in the transfer portal. College hoops is about to do a 180 on recruiting after this tourney because outside of a few freak 6'7 guards the veterans are carrying the watwe. The transfers will get far more money than the 18 year old McDonalds all American types going forward.

Devo has two years with the Covid year.

Curious to see if he sticks around one more year or just takes his chances overseas.

Walsh said after the game he already has his weakness report and summer workout plan. Hopefully he will come back.

If RC4 returns he needs to spend all summer working on his outside shot.

I’d like to keep Ford around because I think he could develop into a replacement for Devo.

Pinion needs to go to Oral Roberts

Any player who returns needs to work on their passing.

BJ Mack needs to get here tomorrow. A 6’9 260 lb big is missed sorely.

Demarcus Sharp can fill a shooter role

And throw all the NIL money you can at Krissa and get an experienced replacement for Black.

Mack/Fall
Walsh
Devo
RC4
???/Blocker

Krissa likely going to Xavier to be with Miller though so need a decent point replacement and not Hunter.

ETA - well frick just noticed Sharp went to Austin Pea with his coach.

No clue we’re we are headed this year then

I don't see rc4 coming back if you want to bring in a shooting guard / small forward that can shoot we need those mins. Part of the issue this year is we had too little mins to give in the transfer portal

Depends, Notae his first transfer year was 6th man of the year so there are more than just starting roles. RC4 did that a lot last year. Year 2 for transfers tends to be their best year.

RC4 would want to start as a senior so if we could snag a junior sharp shooter 6th man type that would be huge.

Seemed pretty open-ended to me.

I think Ford will be back and be a contributor eventually

Guards:

Devo
Blocker
RC4
transfer
transfer
Ford

4s:

Walsh
transfer

4/5s:

Brazile
Fall
Mitchell twins or 2 transfers

that leaves 1 transfer spot that could go to any position

It's hard to use positions the way I am in Muss's system but by 4 I'm thinking guys like Toney that are in there with some size and not primarily perimeter scorers, but aren't going to be matched up with the opponents post player.

4/5s I'm thinking guys that can guard the post but might play more of a stretch 4 role too, can be in the lineup with another 5

I'm hoping we get Brazile back but I do have some serious questions about his and Fall's strength against a bully down low.

Y'all are hard on how Makhi handled Sanogo but I think he might have just picked Brazile up and carried him up and down the court.

I don't want to see either one of these kids in Razorback uni's ever again.

Both need to transfer tfrick outta here if Muss wants to win it all.

Yeah Brazile would have cured a lot of ills but he wouldn’t have kept us from getting punked in the paint last night. They don’t make a lot of guys like Sanogo or Mark Williams at Duke last year. We’ve just got to hope that we start landing our fair share of guys like that.

Kinda rough. For better or worse Devo is a hog for life. I like RC4 but he just isn’t quite good enough yet for the role he’s trying to occupy. We’re definitely in trouble if we bring him back to shoot 15 shots/game again. That’s unless he develops a shot in the offseason.
