That’s the definition of a bubble team which we are.
Too true. We probably should have been a bit more realistic going into this season with the players we lost.
Still, I'll be thrilled if we make the big dance. Anything more than that is gravy.

Returning 3 major contributors from an Elite 8 team 100% warranted decently high expectations.
Going 0-3 against that opening slate was bad.
Beat Hofstra, Vandy and one of the other 3 conference games and we’re firmly in the dance conversation with a nice easy run coming up.
That being said the road LSU win was huge. Besides Auburn, they’re the toughest team in the league and will win a ton more conference games. Bama keeps dropping games, so splitting that seems more doable at this point. I think we’re tougher than them and if we catch them on a off shooting day, we can win easily.
Kansas State beating Tech was nice too.

A few things after watching the game again
-I know people are disappointed that Devo hasn't taken the next step after last year. He continues to have silly turnovers and fouls, while still not a consistent shooter (although better than last year). But just those four offensive rebounds were huge as well as that 3 in the 2nd half. He is so important to this team still and think they have found a good spot and role for him off the bench for now.
-Rebounding was impressive, LSU is a very physical team. We punched them in the mouth at times and got up quickly after they did it to us.
-Team didn't quit or ever look like they were ready to fold even when LSU was up 8 in the last 7 mins or so.
-You can slowly see players settling more into roles. Trey Wade isn't going to be the next Justin Smith but you could see them use him in similar ways yesterday. He got a few baskets by hanging around the basketball looking for the pass or rebound.

Agree on Devo. Bad TO game but he still filled the stat sheet and did the same against Mizzou.
Him getting it figured out down the stretch will be key to making the tourney.

Devo got that tooth fixed already, so that’s good.

No one likes them behind the back dribbles like Devo, it’s a 50% turn over, but he sticks to it.

Notae has had about 4 spins and every time he has turned over the ball this game.

Vanover may have had the worst 2 mins I’ve ever seen. 0-3 including missing a dunk and getting totally abused on the defensive end.

Yeah Vanover is a massive liability when he’s on the floor

That was an ugly arse last 8 minutes or so. Just when I thought Vanover couldn’t possibly look worse…he comes through yet again to prove me wrong.

Is the tip off that important?
Otherwise he provides nothing. He also provides nothing on the tip.

JD with 5 assist and no forced shots. We could be really good if he continues to play unselfish.

Hoping for a miracle. I've never watched an Arkansas game where we didn't hit a three... I'm 40

Sad night if we can’t hit one

Blow them out without a 3.
Streaks are made to be broken.
