Marshall will be the “grab national attention” hire but Muss may actually be the better hire.

I'm told Eric Musselman is on the verge of signing a five-year, $15 million contract to be the next head basketball coach at Arkansas, with a potential $5 million more in incentives that can be earned. #Hogs

I trust this board as generally this is a more knowledgeable bunch than the rest of our boards but I’ve been in the Marshall camp since the last hire. Why Muss over him, this is honest question not trolling. And is there any other candidate we’re missing? Coaches convention is coming up easy way to make quiet interviews, that’s how long got his time with Bert correct?

All I can say is that as a Hog fan I hope I'm wrong. But this hire does NOT impress me. Not at all. I like the idea of incentives but from what I've heard if he's doing well enough to get those he will be on his way back to the NBA.

I want to be wrong. I'm sick of sucking in football and basketball. To me this looks like we fired one mediocre coach to hire another.

If he is doing so well the NBA comes calling. We will be in a fantastic place to hire the next coach. That shouldn’t be a negative

Man, go outside and breath the air a bit. If he does so well that he goes to the NBA as a HC, we will have hit Gold.

and we will be in an incredible position as well. Those incentives are great. I have been watching his videos and reading about his coaching, discipline, teaching. I am on board!

Is he mediocre or is he going to the NBA? He can't be both. Make up your mind.

5 last season.. New Mexico by a score of 85 to 58. Lost to San Diego State twice. Lost to Florida by 9 in the tournament. And he lost to Utah State.

Honestly thats not too bad. He beat USC and Arizona State. He's growing on me now that I see he's played some decent comp. Thing is the SEC is becoming a freaking beast. He better bring his big boy pants.

I think you missed the point...I hope he gets the incentives. But I'd hate to go through another search the second this cat is successful. Got it ? Thanks.

Dude I'm WAY beyond booze.. Think medical marijuana and Oxycontin.
