Some guy on 247 from Camden was saying this weekend that the only reason Wilkins hasn’t committed to OU yet is because his offer isn’t commitable at this time. No clue on the accuracy there but he said Wilkins would commit once they gave him a green light.

Ole Miss 2019 commit Diwun Black plans to be on campus at Arkansas this weekend. His visit to Fayetteville will come a month after he pledged to the Rebels. Black (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) is a 4-star athlete according to the 247Sports composite.

The Forest (Miss.) High School prospect is the No. 69 overall recruit in the 2019 class and is ranked No. 4 in Mississippi. Black is projected to play linebacker at the next level. He primarily played safety and wide receiver as a junior last season. He had 82 tackles, 3 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles in 13 games. At receiver, he added 16 catches for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Arkansas graduate assistant Kelvin Bolden is playing an important role in the recruitment of Black and several other Mississippi targets. Bolden played at Ocean Springs (Miss.) High School, Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. and Southern Miss. He’s been helping the Hogs pursue several of Mississippi’s most talented 2019 prospects.

In addition to Black, the Razorbacks are expected to have offensive linemen Christian Lofton and Jack Buford on campus this weekend.

Black was one of several top Arkansas targets who impressed at The Opening regional camp in Dallas on Sunday. For his efforts, he was named the linebacker MVP and was one of 17 participants selected to attend The Opening Finals this summer.

Fellow Razorbacks target Derick Hall also received an invitation to the finals after his performance at the camp. Hall (6-5, 210) is a 4-star athlete recruit who has the Hogs among his top schools. He is hoping to visit Fayetteville at some point.

The Opening Finals is an invite-only event featuring 166 of the top high school recruits. The 2018 event will be held June 30 to July 3 at the Dallas Cowboys training facility in Frisco, Texas.

Arkansas offered 2019 wide receiver T.J. Sheffield four weeks ago. Over that time, the Hogs staff has done quick work to make Arkansas one of his top potential destinations.

Sheffield (5-10, 170) is a 4-star prospect. He attends Independence High School in Thompson’s Station, Tenn., a Nashville suburb. His long list of offers was narrowed to eight choices Monday with Arkansas making the cut.

The Hogs were joined by Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Virginia Tech.

So we want our entire OL to be 6’8 or taller it seems.

Seems morris wants us to be like those old raider teams. Huge in the middle. Fast on the outside.

Seems he wants to be 6'8+ from guard to guard, and around 6'6+ at tackle with long arms.

Wr he wants us to be 6'4 or better. Which I agree with. We need to be huge at WR, and not 5'10 like bert wanted.

Derick Hall was hoping to visit Arkansas during his spring break from Gulfport (Miss.) High School in early April. That trip never happened.

He still intends to see Fayetteville, though, and recently told SEC Country he plans to make the 600-mile trip to Arkansas in June. He has not locked in a date, but the Hogs are expected to host high-priority targets June 8-10 and 15-17, so either of those weekends would be an ideal possibility.

We get Marcus Major's first official visit in June. Next month should be pretty hopping on the recruiting front.
