Agreed... Nice feeling to have going into Chads 2nd season.
We definitely have the Wideouts that we needed, and now some Qbacks who can sling the ball as well.

Just watched some highlights on him. He's not very mobile and makes some risky passes but man his accuracy on some of those throws (especially against LSU) was ridiculous. Threaded the needle into perfect coverage. Curls and back shoulder fades all day.

He's definitely a pocket passer and won't get many TDs with his feet from outside the 2 yard line, but he has a sniper rifle for an arm and tons of RPO experience from Sumlin. He's a great fit for the offense and he's a better QB than Buechele.

I'm sure glad we got him, but but from hearing what little has gotten out of practice, I think Hicks is going to surprise some folks and will start the fall for sure. He's not just going to hand it to Starkel.

I think everyone here believes hicks will at worst start the season as the starter. He will just have too much in front of everyone else to not start. May not have the best physcial tools of the bunch, but he just has way more experience.
Starkel just feels like the dude for next year.

Which is awesome because k can then step in as a redshirt sophomore having 2 years to learn the offense. Way better than being thrown to the wolves. Have a feeling that we will compete this year, be ok next, then look to have a really fun season Chad's 3rd year. Similar to how Bobby started his run

Honestly he and Hicks are both better solutions than Bryant IMO. Kelly Bryant would have been exciting for his running ability but his passing is okay at best. Starkel is Tyler Wilson-esque with a stronger arm and similar scrambling ability.
