And if you picked a college for the sports then you did it wrong.

Not denying this and impressive no less coming off hands down the worst season in modern history.

I just really expected a little more to build off of. Besides the recruiting class, there is really nothing.

Storey got worse, Kelley got worse, the defense was a trainwreck again, mass exodus etc etc.

I guess prove me wrong but until I see any kind of result on the field, I don't care about anything on paper.

We couldn't even land Bryant and build any kind of momentum into this season. Everyone is ready for another complete dud and the QB we're bringing in is about as underwhelming as it gets.

Exactly this and you have issues if you think that way when picking a school

All I’m saying is 2-10 is in the past, nothing we can do about it. Morris is bringing in arguably our best class ever after 2 wins. He still may bomb as a coach but at least talent won’t be the issue. It’s fair to criticize his coaching but this staff has worked their arse off in recruiting and that at least commands respect.

Wasn't from a lack of trying. Recruited and signed a QB that hopefully is the future (KJ). Built to run his offense. Recruiting a couple more for next year (Criswell and his son.)
Did everything possible to bring in KB for a year. Don't know what else he could have done to convince him.
Needed somebody here for spring practice. Couldn't wait on Buchelle. Hicks may not set the world on fire but knows the offense and hopefully mentor KJ for a year.
It is what it is.

One of the best signs for a coach early on is his recruiting. Even if Chad ends up being a terrible coach in preparation or on the field coaching. The next coach is already going to be in a much better position because of the talent that Chad is bringing in. How a fan can not get some overall positivity from the class coming in, is really mind blowing to me.

I literally just said the class is impressive given our record.

I simply said there was absolutely nothing positive out of last season. Nothing.

Not one game or moment where anyone could say "there it is, I can see it".

Not trying to blow up this thread, really, love the class, just wish we could have landed a more impressive QB for the year and had hope for 6 and possible 7-8 wins. Just don't see it next year, which for the most part, I realize is not Chad's fault.

Better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Under Morris:

Storey: 1,584 yards, 11 TD, 10 INT, 57% comp %

Hicks: 3,569 yards, 33 TD, 12 INT, 58.5% comp %

Ty Storey would give both nuts to be Ben Hicks.

I'm not sure what you expect when someone is saying something positive about Morris' recuriting and your response is

quote:

We get it. You're ready to suck him off for a bunch of un proven freshman.

You are just being negative to be negative. No one was saying last year was good.

In the AAC vs the SEC?

Dude still threw more INTs and barely beat Storey's trash completion percentage.

You can't be serious with that stat line.

LOL, solid wisdom, what are you the Dalai Lama of bullshite? His junior year to Ty's Freshman year?
Just stop talking. The more you talk the dumber you look. You just called a guy that's been on the team for 3 years a freshman.

You can't seriously be pumped about this dude after watching film.

If you're cool with 4 wins next year, I guess you all will call it "progress" vs the 2 this year.

Just don't like what I see, recruiting is fine but his record to date and coaching last year still hasn't proven anything otherwise.

Carry on, no need to get this thread off track anymore.

And almost 2000 more yards. What is the point of this shitty melt?

Everyone knows last year sucked. Is there really any point in crying about it?

Move forward, dude

I heard there is an opening on Chad's staff. With the vast football knowledge you are showing I'm sure you will be called at any moment. Better show improvement next year or were gonna want your arse canned.

Yeah idk. I've never seen someone melt this hard over getting an upgrade at QB.
