If his offers are blueshirts to Tech and Arkansas that means he can’t visit.
In order to blueshirt the player must enroll was a walkon, count against next years recruiting class number, can’t take an official visit and the coaches can’t recruit his school.

Yes, can’t recruit it officially like we couldn’t Fayetteville or PA last year with Clary and Hayden Henry. When you want a blueshirt no school visits from coaches. No in person contact of any kind.

No surprise and already assumed, I'm sure... but Hedlund officially gone in addition to Rogers. So, that's two scholarship spots that opened in the last few days.

Not knocking this kid at all, I hope he ends up an All-American, but I sure hope recruiting improves in the years to come.

Let's hope not. He didn't have an offer from aTm. He isn't good enough for aTm to offer, but good enough for Arkansas? It would be some of my worst fears about Chavis coming true.

Hard to steal recruits from Texas, A&M and LSU when most are all signed outside a handful. Those handful we are trying to get to visit.
A&M has been on Parker after Jimbo took over, even articles out about it.

I just did, what is the relevance? He is a 2018 recruit with no major offers as far as I can tell. I am not a college DC or recruiter, I assume you aren't either. Are you trying to tell me every P5 school missed offering this guy, including our current DC when he was at aTm a short 2 weeks ago?

Good grief. This is a late offer trying to fill a class by a brand new staff when pickings are slim. You can melt over these next year if they come in to January with a class of 9 and are forced to take projects again.

Exactly. There's not a ton of guys out there with the new early signing day. I think most folks realized this was going to be a patch-work recruiting year with the staff change. Considering the small numbers we're taking this year, it's not the end of the world.
Get back to me next year if we're in a similar situation...then I'll consider a moderate melt.
