Hope J Will and AC3 stay healthy all year, doesn't look like we have a #3 back unless RWIII comes in and is ready to play.

Nope. The cupboard looks a little bare after those two. I worry if one gets hurt that we may kill the other one by running him in to the ground.
I do think RW3 is going to be a pleasant surprise. Personally, I've felt that his recruiting ranking is lower than it should have been. He looks like a 4* talent to me and I think he'll step in to the lead role in '16.

Wonder if they'll move Kody Walker back to RB full time eventually. Denzell Evans getting carries just won't work lol

No, Evans definitely isn't going to be the guy. Seems like a great kid from what I've seen from him but he is not on the level of an SEC starting RB.
Ideally, Colquitt can step up and win the starting FB job and Kody can become a situational player at RB/FB.

Watching now, and not sure if Bert eventually touches on this...
But I'm intrigued by Anthony Antwine. He's a rising Sophomore and certainly LOOKS the part. I wonder if he's got a chance to be another Bielema walk-on success story. I'm guessing speed is his biggest weakness? Or hands? Just haven't seen enough of him to know.

I would think his speed, because he is a physical beast. He was the only receiver I saw during spring practice a year ago that consistently manhandled the defensive backs.

I'm actually surprised we didn't land a big time running back this year. Don't get me wrong RW3 might end up being great but we should've signed a big name with our style of play

I blame Joel Thomas being nonexistent on the recruiting trail. Hopefully Singleton can recruit. If not we should just send Pittman to recruit RBs.

At this point, we aren't on track to land a big one this year either.

That'd be cool as frick to have a RB with the last name Falcon.

I'm not overly concerned with it -- I briefly looked today at Bert's Wisky classes via Rivals and it looked like he landed a few four star tailbacks during his tenure, with John Clay, Montee Ball and Melvin Gordon being the standouts on that list. As long as we keep stocking the lines with blue chippers, I'm optimistic that we can either land a few heralded guys here and there or just make studs out of three stars.
Still though, it is surprising that we've had three 1,000 yard rushers in 2 years and haven't been waste deep in blue chip tailbacks, and it's probably no coincidence that we turned over half our offensive staff.

Thomas really did leave us in a shitty position with RBs.
How can you not sell Arkansas to just about any RB?
Makes absolutely zero sense whatsoever. Def has me concerned depth wise. Just gotta hope they both stay healthy.
Real shame Marshall couldn't get his shite together.

I'm sure our record hasn't exactly helped recruit 4-5 star running backs either

We're probably overlooking the possibility that RW3 was rated extremely high on their board. Maybe higher than the 4/5* guys that we, as fans, are longing for.
I have a feeling the stars will always fall a little short just because of the character that Bret demands out of his players. There may be dozens of 4/5 star RB's every year, but if none of them have the right attitude...

LINK for the lazy - Matt Falcon
I wouldn't think we should get our hopes up for a Michigan running back, but ya never know I guess.

This is the time of year we always hear about how X player is really making an impression with the coaches, and Y player has really stood out in practice, and that Z player is going to see a lot of playing time this fall...
RIGHT up until this fall when X Y and Z all sit on the bench.

The part that irritates me is I cant ever tell who the coaches are actually talking about a lot on their own. Its all mixed in with random bits about guys who will never see the field because they were brought up by the local 'media' asking coaches about specific players. Add in the standard coach speak (from different coaches no less) and multiple sources posting different quotes from the same event... its just too many lines to read between for me.
And I love this time of year. Oddly it seems like there is more actual, rational discussion about football in the spring than in the fall when it turns back into:
After win: This guys all SEC, and that coach is coach of the year material, and the playcalls are good and I knew this years ago and you didn't listen
After loss: This guy sucks, and that guy sucks and these 8 people need fired and everyone is an idiot but me.
