No really, that's huge. Imagine being an 18 year old recruit and that happens.

Little things like that can play a big role in him going to a school. Do not underestimate that....

Ah just tweet him a picture of the huge 39k crowd that showed up for The U's home opener vs the 71k that showed up for Jacksonville St. Or the fact that last year we were the only school in the country to place in the top 25 in attendance in Mens Football, Basketball, and Baseball.

Screw the U.

9:10 UPDATE: DT Ke'Tyrus Marks said tonight's in-home with Bret Bielema went very, very well. Said he's an awesome guy. I'm still expecting him to be a Razorback this weekend.

9:30 UPDATE: DJ Dean tells me his new Baylor offer does not change the chances of him committing to Arkansas this week, even though he's set to see the Bears next weekend. I'd imagine if he commits to Arkansas Bielema will be requesting a no-show in Waco next weekend.

surely Collins knows there's more to a college choice than some freak basketball game.......
maybe not???

People think recruits go ape shite over catfish hole food...

It had to do with the atmosphere at the game, you had a packed house chanting his name, oh and they happened to blow out the #1 team in the country and rushed the court afterwards. He ate all that shite up, no pun intended.

Maybe now people will realize how important it can be to show up to the home basketball games and create an exciting atmosphere during OV weekends if you are "only" a football fan, even those who have expressed the failed logic of "I will start supporting the team when they prove they can win on the road" whatever fricking sense that is suppose to make unless you are planning on going to road games to watch too...

very good point. I don't live close to NWA but if I did, I would be a regular at all Razorback athletic events. NWA snobs don't realize how blessed they really are. UTILIZE the resources man!!!!!!!

The only reason you call us snobs is because we know how blessed we are and you are jealous.

to be fair, if we had the #1 team in the country playing at the Palace, it would be packed. harder to get the same atmosphere when you are playing LSU or South Carolina or whoever.

Yeah, but you have people wanting to organize meets at the airport to welcome them off the plane, line the streets holding signs with their names, find out what restaurants they will be attending and pack the house, but when it comes to packing BWA and creating a gameday atmosphere "They are going to have win on the road or get a team worth watching them play in there before I will spend my $25 to watch them play"...

So he is planning on staying there at least a couple of months to find time to visit all of them?

jealous of your proximity to the Razorbacks... yes... as far as living in the friggin mountains... you can keep 'em. I will take my piney hills and riverbottoms any day. South Arkansas is God's Country for outdoorsmen like myself.
