I don't know if DeBoer will do it but it needs to be done .I am not sure who would replace him but hard to believe anyone could do a worse job.

I’m not sure Schuman is any better and if you watch any of these other games the defenses couldn’t tackle Joe Biden. Seems like most of all these defenses are soft

He probably does need to go but it’s not happening until the season is over, if then. Deboer is not firing Wommack mid-season and the idea that Byrne is going to have a come-to-Jesus meeting with Deboer and demand he fire him right now is another pipe dream. We’re riding with who we got in 2024. Get used to it.

The defense gave up 20 points, got a huge turnover after the milroe int, and got a huge stop at the end of the game to prevent usc from kicking a game winning FG.
I'd give the game ball to the defense. What more did you want from them today ?

Football is soft now. I'm all for player safety but a DT hitting a QB in the helmet with his arm should not be a penalty

The defense gave up 7/10 3rd downs in the second half. They gave up multiple long drives including at the end of the game.

I'd give the game ball to USC fricking up.
Some people on this board criticize almost entirely the defense. Some focus mostly on the offense and mainly Milroe. And those two sides will go back and forth in circles.
There are issues across the board. Even if you think the defense or offense played better today or last week, they have had plenty of non-championship caliber moments the last 2.5 games. This team in all 3 phases of the game (Off, Def, ST) are not playing championship caliber football. Even though all 3 have 4 and 5 stars all over the place and the highest paid coach in the country leading them I would not say ANY of them are top 15 units in the country.

Not to give up a 40-yard TD on 4th and 9? Not to give up a 75 yard TD drive in 1:11 when they had no timeouts? Stop giving up 16 play TD drives every game? Not get dragged 3 yards into the endzone for TD? Any of these. I'm not picky.

Yeah but having watched South Carolina a bit, a good defense holds them to 14 or fewer points.
