Why not give Kevin Riley more carries this week and see what happens?

Not saying give him 40 carries but maybe 10-12? The thing about him I like is he's quicker/faster and has some wiggle in him. I'm sure RIchard Young and Daniel Hill try hard but neither of them has Riley's attributes.

I'm sure I'll get some of members here in an uproar but frankly, Young and Hill run hard but they run straight ahead with ZERO ability to juke anyone or make a tackler miss. I know the blocking has been suspect at times but why keep doing the same thing that's not really working?

I was thinking the same thing. Kevin made more efforts out of everyone

Tough to know how adept he is at pass pro. The inability to effectively pass pro has kept many young RBs off the field in the past.

Daniel Hill shouldn’t see the field after last week.

Poor arse performance. If you aren’t going to provide effort sit the frick down.

I agree and understand that but you could at least partially mitigate that by not putting him in plays where he probably would have to do that. I remember both Derrick Henry and Shaun Alexander early on were terrible pass protectors and that limited their carries even though it was pretty obvious they were special.

Then you get back into the issue of tipping plays, and we see how well that went with Milroe. If the opponent knows Riley can't pass pro, then when he's in the game, it's more likely than not going to be a run and they can load the box.

But who knows, maybe Riley can pass pro. We haven't seen him enough to have any idea what he's capable of.

He definitely was the quickest of the group and hit the hole hard. Jam really is that much better, need him back.

How depressing. Crowell can't get here quick enough

While less heralded, I think a lot of people are going to like current commit Javari Burnett. Good size (215 lbs), physical but very shifty and can make people miss. IMO, this guy is wildly underrated.

Grubb don't run the ball. That's why. He's an air raid guy.

Never been sold on that offense because invariably, there comes a time where it’s 3rd or 4th and one and you desperately need that first down or TD and those offenses often can’t pick up that first down or TD because that offense is SOFT.

Coach Bryant used to say if you can’t usually pick up one yard, you probably deserve to lose and he was right.

You will probably have lots of opportunities to ask why not questions for the rest of the season.
