Why are other Bama forums so hush-hush about Tua?

They seem to shut down any legitimate criticism of Hurts and have decided that we would have lost 4 games this year with Tua. Are these people that stubborn that they can’t see there is at least a small problem with our QB situation?

I don't know if we would have lost 4 games with Tua but I don't think starting Tua all season would have been a very wise option in 2017.

It's playoff time, let's stick the Tua/Jalen stuff in a sack for a month.

Maybe because they see that there's zero chance he replaces Hurts this season, so there's really no point in discussing him in reference to the playoffs.

Because this forum has a few brave souls who have spent the last 14 months beating down opposition to the truth. And, it's slightly less homeristic over here.

Because the blue hairs that run those forums don’t really understand the game and don’t understand quarterback play.

When Saban plays Tua against Clemson, they will all be on board and develop a severe case of amnesia about the anti Tua campaign they have waged all year. Same as many on here.

Just unimaginative lemmings.

I’m just tired of people talking about “working to Jalen’s strengths” when we’ve been gameplanning around his weaknesses all year. What are his strengths in the passing game? Screen passes?

So you think Tua should have been the starting quarterback for 2017?

We’ll see my man. Time will tell who’s posts were shitty.

I was arguing for more playing time for Tua. I don’t deny that.

Let me preface this with, I'm all for Tua if he provides us the greatest chance to win.

What folks forget is, Tua played 2 series in the spring game against the #1 defense. He went 3 and out followed by 4 and out.

Most (all) of his play this year has been in mop up duty against wore down defenses.

All Jalen has done is win. No matter how "connected" any of the insiders are, non of us are in the locker room. Jalen obviously is a leader and for the most part, has got it done for us.

I do think Tua is a better passer and certainly has better touch and the ability to throw receivers open. Can he do that against some of the best defenses in the country? Only time will tell.

We're a long way from last spring.

All of his play has been against the same defenses that Jalen was playing against when he was pulled. Then, miraculously, the moment Tua sets foot on the field, the WR's are open and the line doesn't need to block for 6 seconds.

I have always said that Jalen should start this year. But, the later in the year we get, the less of a Freshman Tua is, and Jalen, now with two seasons of experience, has continued to struggle finding receivers.

At this point in the year, I think Tua's pros would probably outweigh his cons. And, with a month of reps, I think most of those cons will go away. But, we can't KNOW Tua will be great. What we've seen so far could all be a mirage. But, I doubt it.

After Jalen and the first team offense got up big early on Mercer, Tua came in with the first team and was allowed to play as if the score was 0-0 and the passing attack was fully available to him. How did you view his efficiency on the field for the 2nd and 3rd quarter?

I’m more worried about how Jalen looked against Clemson, LSU and Auburn.

I honestly don't remember. Why don't you just post your cherry-picked stats here so we don't have to play this game?

I don't specifically remember the mercer game. I just know what I've seen overall from the two QB's. I assume Tua must not have moved the ball to your liking during those two quarters which is why you've singled them out as an area to focus your argument.

No, I'm pretty sure your post-Auburn rant about being done with Alabama football needs no time.

First, you have to be able to read. Cause that’s not exactly what I said.
