I like the feeling of being the underdog for once. It's a feeling of not having anything to lose so balls to the wall it is. Not having to play not to lose and having that much pressure to win is kind of refreshing. Saying that, we are going to have to win out to make the playoff anyways so I see it as a middle finger saying "this is what we think of you compared to the top 5" we win out it takes care of itself. But until then I think our guys will take it as a big frick you and play violent. Let the blood bath begin, the sleeping giant will wakeup soon, Roll Tide.

I don't necessarily. Gotta believe this team is better than Oregon.

I don't care where we are ranked right now.

Win out and it will take care of itself!

There's no doubt our guys are the best team in the country. WHEN THEY WANT TO BE. Saying that. A panel of people don't reserve the right to pass judgement. I was never a supporter of this committee. Coaches poll should determine the playoff teams. 8 team playoff based on coaches poll rankings.

Here's where it doesn't matter that oregon is ahead of us. We have to win out to get in anyways so saban is right, they don't mean shite. We win out, we more than likely win the west. Just because these teams are ahead of us doesn't mean they're better. Don't let it get to you, make them vote us 1 or 2 and then let saban publically say, frick you, we didn't care what you thought all along. Talk is cheap, play the games.

i think we are in the perfect spot. especially when we play 2 teams that are above us. if we win all of our games from here on out we are in, so no need to worry. hopefully the team can use the mild slight as some fuel to stomp lsu

I think we are ranked appropriately at this time. We win our next 4 regardless of who represents the west and I'll have a big problem with Bama getting left out.

If this team plays up to their potential, they're better than everyone... I'm ecstatic to be ranked where we are... I'm even happier that the playoff committee seems to have gotten it right... I was shocked to see three SEC teams in the top 4 but they got it right...

Haven't even given it a thought because it's so inconsequential right now.

I love it. Gives those boys two whole weeks to stew about how they are underrated and not respected. What this group shows is when they are disrespected or even given up on by the fans... they respond.

Hope they respond with four wins in the next five weekends.

Good place for us and as mentioned we win out it does not matter. Just hope people do not get upset if TCU wins against WVU they will jump us next Tuesday in the polls.

I don't like being ranked lower than Oregon. They have a sig win edge at the moment with MSU being ahead of WVU. They lost at home to Arizona to our road loss to a committee top 4 team.

I don't like the prospect of Florida State, Ole Miss, and Oregon winning out while currently being ahead of us. We would still in theory be #4 but I wouldn't be thrilled at the possibility of trying to hold #4 vs this list.

11-1 TCU or Baylor(mainly TCU)

12-1 Ohio State or Michigan State

11-1 Notre Dame

I do feel if we win out we are in but I would like to jump Oregon for insurance.

Here's the thing, and this is really indisputable: The top 6 teams all control their own destiny. FSU at 2 is in if they win out. Between AL, AU, MS, and OM, two of those have to lose a game, so Oregon at #5 is guaranteed to move up a spot if they win out. Alabama plays two teams above them; if they win out, they will pass both of those teams.

TCU and Sparty need help, because it is possible for two different combinations of four teams above them to win out, leaving them no opportunity to pass them. Also, Sparty's only decent opponents left are #16 OSU and possibly #15 Nebraska in the B1GCG. Sparty really has no way to significantly improve their resume.

Not really. The committee hasn't ranked these teams where they stay put if they win and only drop when they lose. I expect to see teams make big jumps and falls week to regardless even if they win. That's why I could see TCU jumping up to #4 if they were to win at West Virginia this weekend.

Why not? The committee totally disrespected ND, and their only remaining ranked teams are #14 and #25. Our SOS to this point is already better than ND, and playing 2 out of the top 3 teams, and maybe Georgia, will only widen that gap. ND doesn't even have ONE game on their schedule as good as any of those.

And as far as Ohio State is concerned, by ranking them 16, the committee basically came out last night and told the whole country that they think the Buckeyes are dogshit. The Buckeyes have Sparty, Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan, and two of those teams are horrible. OSU probably has no chance to crack the top ten, even with a win over Sparty. The loss to Va. Tech. is a big stinky turd in their punchbowl.

That makes absolutely zero sense unless the teams above them lose. Why would they jump to 4? First of all, Alabama already beat West Virginia. Second, WVA is only #20. Beating #20 won't, for example, cause the committee to bump them ahead of Oregon, FSU, or the winner of the AU-OM game. Nor would beating a team that Alabama already beat cause the committee to bump them ahead of Alabama.

But the biggest reason why I am right is the fact that you are only looking at one game this weekend, and I said what would happen if teams would win out. You have TCU jumping to #4 for beating #20? Then if Bama beats #1 and #3, they'll just jump right past them. TCU does not have wins of the same caliber left on its schedule...fact.

You keep saying things are fact when no one knows what the committee will do. They may place more emphasis on being conference champion and if us and OM win out, OM would be ahead of us. What if Michigan State, FSU, TCU, and Oregon win out? Those are your conference champions. We won't know if that'll actually hold precedence over who they actually think is the best team until the final rankings. That's why guys like Cecil Hurt expect this whole process to be a sham. It's just moronic to say things are indisputable when no one knows what's going to happen.
