Stroke a $30 million dollar check to Eli Gold as a bonus for his service to the program. Eli then decides to donate it to Yea Alabama.

Your move NCAA.

Depleting the entire annual bank account of the collective on two players isn’t “making a dent.”

You’re being intentionally obtuse.

Two top 5 transfers which is probably two first or second round draft picks.

If it isn’t making a dent, then what is everyone so concerned about? That’s 2/3 of the guys we’re really disappointed to lose in the portal right now.

These collectives matter, no matter how small the donation, so it matters who is controlling the funds and how they are being used.

That’s absolutely not a big amount these days in the NIL world.

The value of 2 Isaiah Bonds isn’t a big deal?

No one has suggested you can fund the entire team out of $18 per month donations, but $1.44M is not an insignificant sum.

Maybe that didn’t matter

You might be right. Might not have for him.

He wanted to play for Saban. If you can start anywhere, go where you think you’ll get the best coaching… And maximize income along the way.

Hell my damn day to day living prevents me from doing it and I make pretty good money.

I can afford, but WILL NOT affort this! Out of curiosity, I went to the Yea Alabama website and read where 100% of my contribution would go to "Student-Athletes". I can only assume that means the Volleyball and Gymnastics team. Then I reminisced about being a hungry student at the university and compared that to the pictures of young men driving Labo's vs. me driving a 1975 Volvo...The term student-athlete makes me gag every time...my hypocrisy only goes so far!!!
