Because if we had moved the ball down the field and scored quickly and then left them enough time to do the same thing and win the game on the final play, you'd be complaining about how we didn't eat up the clock on our last drive.

Look at my post above....OU showed they could drive the field?

And frankly no I wouldn't. Every coach in the game including the nfl tries to get into scoring position 1st. Once they are there then they may consider slowing things down. We basically ran the clock out on ourselves.

Nothing but bitching and moaning.

Bama owes the guy 50 million after the jocks and socks are back on the shelf at season end.

This is why he's coaching through 2026 at a minimum. In my opinion, I think he will be back for 2027 even if he mints another 9-4 season in 2026.

He gets 5 years just due to the money. His 5th year is probably going to be a tuff one for him and Bama fans.

He is Bill Curry 2.0 with a Nick Saban contract.

If we miss the playoffs would he be pressured to make coaching changes?

Don’t be so hard on Milroe.

We have the same issues at this point in the season as we did last year. At some point, you realize that the coaches should carry more blame.

Ray Charles could see that we need a new OL coach. The fact this man has not been able to find 5 starters by game 10 is partly why things are so bad. He should have determined in camp that he wanted Carroll to be his RT and focused on getting the right side of the OL solidified by conference play. Good OL play is about consistency and part of that depends on knowing how the guys beside you play.

The buildings that football and Nick Saban built on that campus over the years is amazing. When those dollars aren’t coming in due to not being in the championship hunt, I’m guessing something will change.

Football championships grow college campuses. Fact.

Yep. Losing breeds apathy. Apathy brings about changes.

He played 3 LG's vs LSU.
71 started
70 replaced 71
56 replaced 70 most all of the 2nd half.

77 and 75 played most all the game with 64 replacing 75 at times.

Perhaps it's just for freshness and not all performance.

It is bizarre almost nobody does this besides bring the 6OL in for heavy run lean situations. We're not running 100-snap games anymore with the new clock rules and we're a clock munching offense besides. If our OL cannot play these snaps as cohesive unit then we got bigger problems than just scheme and coaching.

Alabama is investing in improving their academic prestige but simple fact is nobody is coming to Alabama over other premier academic institutions in nicer areas. I've lived in or around Tuscaloosa most of my life but I'm not delusional enough to suggest that this is a particularly beautiful and entertaining college town. It's not the worst but it isn't some college town that can recruit quality students without athletics. Football stirs the drink here.

When kids no longer think this is a great college football party environment because the team isn't winning at a level that recruits these out of state students, UA and City of Tuscaloosa is going to have a problem on their hands. If it gets bad enough, these "luxury student condos" are going to become section 8 housing.

The walls were already crumbling in around Saban.

Even if Bama loses to Auburn (Laugh if you want but it’s a real possibility) and then loses in some sad bowl game where the team goes 9-4 AGAIN, I think CKD will still be back but his coaching seat will be molten magma hot.

Regardless of the final outcome of this season, IMO, the biggest issue will be if CKD will cut Kapilovic loose and get an offensive line coach who can consistently get a lot more out of our line.
