Oh I understand mediocrity. I witnessed it in BDS, Knoxville, Athens, Auburn, Starkville, Gainesville, Shreveport, Nashville, etc from age 12 until I graduated from college. Losing at home to La Tech, UCF, Northern Illinois, ULM and Mississippi State is mediocrity. Being down to 20 loss in a row Duke at halftime is mediocrity. Celebrating a home OT win over a 4 win Ole Miss team is mediocrity. Losing a game to Arkansas because you missed 3 field goals and 2 XPs is mediocrity.
Winning the SEC and losing in the national title game with a team that lost almost every offensive contributors from the year before to the first 2 rounds of the NFL draft is not mediocrity.

Yep. You can't piss away 4-5 TD opportunities and settle for FGs like we did and still expect to beat a team as good as Georgia.
