I noticed this before the game in Starkville. There was a lot of focus on Auburn on this board. Tell me I'm wrong.

Yeah, that was a direct impact for the on field performance tonight.

I'm waiting for the 'get serious for victory ' thread.

Defense played just fine. The offense lacked the killer instinct tonight. TJ and Kenyan need to stop eating fricking popcorn before the games.

I agree with the OP somewhat. I don't think fan reaction/attitudes effect the team but I do think its possible that if the fans have a certain attitude that the players can develop that attitude independently.

It's not a certain. But there definitely was a lack of intensity. AllBamaDoesiswin made a post about this. Seems there was a lack of intensity all around, like it was just a given, no need to get pumped for it. Save it for Auburn, I guess.

Defense looked very intense.

Offense sputtered but MSU has a solid defense. The o line looked regressed but i think that they will have it together for the AU game.

I often wonder if a game like Auburn Georgia had this afternoon had any effects on a team playing later and their own performance.

yep wasn't there a big game last year right before the Ole Miss game? Sitting there trying to get your mind right and instead you spend the whole time watching the game/checking twitter it can happen.

No way any of the team was watching any part of the 2nd half of that game. They were out on the field warming up during the 4th quarter of it. They may have heard through the grapevine but that wouldn't affect anything.

They just played really flat, which seems to happen after LSU.
