Was thinking back while watching the draft. Could Bama be going for five in a row next year if Vinnie finished his last two years?

I always thought the injury to Vinnie cost Bama the AU game, and a National Title game. Had he completed his eligibility, does OSU RB run wild through the secondary, I think not.

Bama w/Sunseri: 32-2, 2 National Titles
Bama minus Sunseri: 16-4, 0 National Titles

Would have been nice to have, but it does no good back in reality.

I can't even begin to wrap my head around how All-Time great some of these teams could've been if everybody had stayed for 4 years

Its insane. How good would 2011 team had been if Julio, Ingram, and Dareus had stayed. Would be an absolute all-timer.

I think the early entry by some of our guys is hurting us to a degree.

I've said it before that I think we win it that season he doesn't get hurt. We really missed his takeaways.

I wasn't referring to everybody staying, only one single person for one single year. Mostly I was just thinking of the injury season and the loss to AU. I just added another year for discussion purposes because Vinnie was not highly thought of by many people on this forum. Wanted to show the actual Bama record with and without him during his four years and what could have been.

Any extra depth in the secondary would have been nice these past few years.

But people often times forget that Vinnie was an often complained about player in 2012.

Actually I make this point in the post you quoted.

Vinnie was given very little credit his entire career at Bama, not just 2012. It started the day he signed. There were even some posts on this Bama forum that the secondary would improve after his injury, due to L.Collins getting more snaps.
