Have you ever listened to Avery in a huddle? It’s just rah rah cliches. Never seen him draw up a play. Not saying he doesn’t, just never seen it.

I thought Avery should have called a timeout before the Ingram turnover and then called one much quicker on the last possession.
That said, guys shouldn’t look so damn panicky and confused in those situations. I was only screaming for a timeout cause everybody looked scared as shite

This is a bad loss. John Petty makes way too damn mistakes. Can't lose this game at home. Falls on CAJ for sure.

Jesus Christ it's barely December, when u play tournament level teams and u have a young team sometimes crap happens like this. My frustration was why did sexton not take hardly any shots?

I mean UCF will be ok, but they lost by nearly 40 to the only other ranked team they had played and they are without their top scorer due to injury. That's a bad loss for a program trying to take steps forward.

Petty is a freshman he will make mistakes. Sexton as well but Ingram who is basically a junior makes far to many mistakes and always bad passes. Ingram dhouldve gave Sexton the ball back if he didn't have anything

Freshman laden team: you're going to have days like this. You're also going to have days where we beat someone we have no business beating, like maybe A&M or Florida. That's the way it works. This loss sucks, but it's to be expected. We flirted with disaster against La Tech. They didn't learn their lesson. Hopefully today they did.

Agreed , a well thought out post. Freshmen have growing pains, we ve beaten 3 pretty experienced teams already. We ll be fine, these guys play hard and don't quit...Just gotta stay consistent.

Not a good game, but it's not the end of the world... yet. A lot of shots that usually go in, didn't. Hopefully that doesn't become a trend.
And it's good to see Donta playing aggressively. Is he the best FT shooter on the team now?

This is the first if several that we'll lose in part due to the lack of ability to shoot free throws.
