Only to someone ignorant of historical references.

No way to prove that.
Also the rest of the world needs to read a book, read an article, really anything historical on this topic and they will be enlightened. The same group misidentified the Confederate Flag, I don’t have time for people who won’t put work into their argument.

You really don't want to debate me on this

Just telling you what the rest of the world thinks when they hear the word "Dixie"......Spoiler: it ain't positive.
I got no time for wokeism but let's get real.
Yep, totally understand. Just really don't care. And am fully content accepting the repercussions for what other people think when they see/hear it. Because I know that it has literally nothing to do with that, didn't when it was written, doesn't now and 0 people singing along to the fight song are thinking "Dixie" as in "slaves and Jim Crowe and flags". None. The same people have the same reactions when individuals refer to "The South" or "being Southern" because their entire point of view is anchored in the things that grieve them about things that happened in this region the last 200 years.
When the rest of the world hears the name "Alabama" you know what they think? It ain't good. And it's for the same reason Dixie evokes those emotions. So.........what do we do there? At some point what you do is you expect people to grow the frick up and act like adults. And if they don't want to, that is completely their prerogative. But it's mine and others to just simple ignore their lamentations and requests.
So, while I still try my best to listen to others requests in these sorts of matters as sincere and with a right heart..........I've grown awfully cynical about it all. Like I said, probably not for the best, either.

Yes I do. I believe I have a background that warrants my participation in such debate.

You better pack a lunch son
If you got time to argue about "Dixie" on this board why don't you find time to start doing your damn job as a mod. Been requesting a sticky for the "Bama In the NFL" thread but still ignored meanwhile you have admitted ten more Willy T alters to the board
Worthless

Leave it to al.commie to do a story about it. If it has to to do with LGBTQXYZ+++ garbage, any perceived"racism" or is attacking Trump in some way, shape or form...al.commie is posting it prominently!

I’m not the only Mod for starters and typically Saint handles new posters. We don’t want anymore sticky threads.

I don't give a red tinted shite what the rest of the world thinks about the word.
If the black people living in Alabama, Mississippi, etc. don't fricking care then why should we cave to these woke, out of state, mentally deranged people?

Take that shite to the Poli board fake arse mod. No one cares.
Why don't you sticky my NFL request or you are to going continue to bleed all over the board about Dixie and Bill O'Brian?

Many people around the country have a poor view of Alabama in general. These is facts. But we don't stop loving our state and using the name because 50% of the country associates it with racism. Why do you care what they think?? Just curious, not arguing
