After watching more of his highlights, I wonder what his vertical is? Looks like he could put his knee on the rim
Not a bad looking shot either.

I haven't measured it, but just from the naked eye i'm thinking it's somewhere near 90".
But seriously, dude has major hops.

Wilson has NBA athleticism. It's crazy that his only experience with organized basketball is one year of JuCo.

Alabama junior college target Langston Wilson has set his decision date for Oct. 18, the Georgia Highlands College product announced on Monday. One of UA's top hoops targets in the 2021 cycle, Wilson is down to Alabama, Alcorn State, Cal State Bakersfield, Iona, Memphis, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, and Texas A&M.
“Coach Nate Oats, you know him being at Buffalo before this and he’s always recruited JUCO guys and always puts them in a position to be successful. For me that’s something that’s huge,” Wilson said of UA when he was offered. “I’ve watched them in the past couple of years. I really like their development with (John) Petty. With him maybe coming back he’ll be a first-rounder next year, at worst-case scenario a second-rounder. Seeing how they play and what they do with their bigs especially, they just don’t have a bunch of guys that just stand around the rim and run to the rim and shoot hook shots. They’re really focused on developing their skill and elevating their game.”
Wilson caught up with BamaOnLine on Monday to share the latest he's hearing from the Crimson Tide.
"We're still in constant contact. We talk somewhat regularly as I do with most schools. I have a good relationship with them I would say, but I have pretty good relationships with all the schools I talk to."
Asked about the message from Nate Oats and his area recruiter Bryan Hodgson.
"They want me to come in and do things I do best like run the floor, block shots, and offensive rebounding," Wilson said.
At 6-foot-9, 200 pounds, Wilson is rated the No. 1 junior college power forward and the No. 2 overall junior college player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

One of the breakout players of 2020 has to be Wesley Cardet Jr. out of West Oaks (FL.). He had multiple high-scoring games this summer and has put high-major programs on notice.
He already holds offers from Alabama, DePaul, FAMU, Georgia, Howard, Illinois, Iona, Iowa State, Kansas State, Maryland, Rutgers, Samford, and St. John’s.
In addition, he says he’s garnered some new interests.
“The same schools are still recruiting me. Schools like Auburn and Tulsa have not offered me but they call/text a lot.” Plus, he landed recent scholarship offers from Georgia’s Tom Crean and Illinois’ Brad Underwood.
Underwood, the head coach of the Illini, will complete a zoom call soon with Cardet Jr. Along with that, Cardet Jr. also said that Iowa State’s Steve Prohm will conduct a virtual meeting soon.
As we mentioned earlier Auburn is the newest program to reach out to Cardet Jr. The Tigers have Tyrell Jones on their roster, who also attended West Oaks Academy just like Cardet Jr. So, Bruce Pearl does have a little familiarity with him and I believe his staff will continue to evaluate him and something might come of this interest over the next few weeks.
He’s taking the process extremely slow, he said. He told Stockrisers.com that he won’t even cut his list to ten programs until November, then once again in January, and to cap things off, he said that as of right now he will announce his college choice in Late-April.
“To many players and coaches are leaving,” he said on why he will decide late. This is better for both him and the programs who want to see more gameplay from him. I fully expect more programs to get involved with him as the weeks go by.

Four-star forward Langston Wilson of Georgia Highlands College isn't just one of the best junior college players in America, he is emerging as one of the best feel good stories in the country.
Though his father Ron Wilson played at Villanova, health concerns prevented the 6-foot-9 sophomore from playing high school basketball while growing up in the Philadelphia area. After getting clearance to return to the floor, Wilson had moved to Georgia and was working a regular job when he was discovered in a local Pro-Am. He signed with Georgia Highlands where he showed flashes of brilliance due to his elite level athleticism and length while averaging just over 10 points and nearly eight rebounds per game. Was he inconsistent? Sure. But, his size, athleticism and raw potential set off a feeding frenzy given that he's only played one season of organized basketball and looks to have significant potential.
Now ranked as one of the top five junior college prospects in America, Wilson has earned over 40 scholarship offers and has a final list of 10 that includes Alabama, Alcorn State, Cal State Bakersfield Iona, Memphis, Mississippi, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina and Texas A&M. He has also announced a decision date of this Sunday, October 18th.
If the Crystal Ball is any indication, then things are looking quite strong for Nate Oats and Bama. The Crimson Tide hold all of the predictions for Wilson and look to be in a good spot to add another piece to what is shaping up as a potential monster class. Currently, the Tide's class has five-star JD Davison and four-star Jusaun Holt and ranks No. 29 in the 247Sports Team Rankings, the addition of Wilson would move them to No. 13 while they are still very much for Composite five-stars Charles Bediako and Caleb Houstan plus a run at the top ranked class in the country.

We got another CB for Langston Wilson.
This one is high confidence from Memphis insider Brooks Hansen.

He was also recently bumped up to a 4* on the 247 Composite is the #2 Juco player.

So it looks like both Wilson and Bediako are definitely takes. Would we also take both Cardet and Houstan? We'd have to have 2 early draft entries or transfers to bring in a 6 man class and I'm not sure who those would be right now.

Adding Wilson will bump us up to the #13 class overall and #2 in the SEC.
LSU is currently #1 in the SEC with four commits, we would be #2 with three.

I think they are all takes, but i'm not sure how we get there yet either.
Primo is definitely an early draft entry candidate. I've already seen him mocked in the top 20 a few times. If he has a strong season and is a borderline lottery pick, I have to assume he would be gone. But that isn't a guarantee at this point.
This is pure speculation from me as I have not seen it mentioned anywhere, but I wonder if Juwan Gary will be a transfer candidate after this season. He is already way behind due to injuries and after the last class and what we could/should have coming in the 2021 class, it seems like he may have just been completely recruited over.

Fun thought: if they don’t count this season against a player’s eligibility and allow current seniors to not count towards next year’s scholarship total, could you imagine what our roster could look like for 2021-22?
Quinerly
Shackelford
Petty
Houston
Bruner
Davison
Ellis
Jones
Tchikou
Bediako
Primo
Holt
Gary
Ambrose-Hylton
Wilson
Subs:
Miles
Reese
Rojas
Of course that’s assuming no one goes early, but still that’s 2 amazing starting 5s and one solid starting five on one team. Absurd.

That would be a nightmare for splitting up minutes.

I do wonder if Herb or Reese would entertain using that extra year of eligibility.
Especially Reese, not like hes going to be playing ball anywhere. I guess he could play overseas somewhere, but idk.
