#Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats says Jordan Bruner was the best available grad transfer for what Alabama needed. He says he targeted him even before he entered the portal because Ivy League players don't usually go to graduate school.

Bruner said the other day in an interview that Oats was the first coach to call him the day he entered the portal and that Oats already knew everything about him.

What did I tell you about chasing them five star waterfalls? Meanwhile Oats has REVAMPED the roster with solid four stars, transfers, etc.===the sweet spot.

UK is going to struggle, their One and Done model seems to have caught up with them, esp. with the COVID mess.

I think most of the top ~10-15 recruits going directly to the G-League is going to become the norm within the next few years. Especially if they are now saying they're willing to pay them in excess of $125k per season.

I just hope Oats can keep it up when the blue bloods resort to transfers, borderline top 50 players, etc. That's why I wish we have a bigger foreign talent pipeline besides Canada. FSU has a foreign hookup and we all know about Gonzaga.

This is great news for College Basketball. All the money fiends (James Wisemans, Lonzo Balls, Michael Porters) can go make a quick buck with the g-league & quit disrespecting my beloved college game. The rest can come to college and be 2-3-4 year players guaranteed, which is great for the sport. Plus, the occasional blue blood gets screwed late in the process like all the teams hoping for Green did today. Michigan got screwed with Todd a few days ago. It’s a win-win.

Green said if he had went to college he would've picked Memphis over Auburn.

Interesting tidbit on Nimari, gives you an idea of the talent cut-off when it comes to recruiting/targeting.

I wonder if this makes more kids reclassify. Get 1 year of College Ball/National Exposure and then do the G-League thing.
