These are the kind of problems UVA or Wisconsin doesn't need to worry about.

He looks pretty good on some of the film I’ve seen on youtube. He is small though but I like his game. Maybe could earn his way on scholarship one day.

He’s small but a very good scorer. Best friends with McKinstry too

Also a basketball player who has talked to the basketball staffs at all the football schools recruiting him

Last month, he received an offer from Crimson Tide coach Nate Oats to play on the hardwood and that could go along way as McKinstry is wanting to play both at the collegiate level.

Nice. Would give us a 14th scholarship caliber player that’s on Footballs scholarships.

Oats helping out the football team I guess. I've seen him play and He isn't scholarship worthy imo.

Oats could have just offered him a walk on spot and not a scholarship is what we think probably happened here though, right?

I hope so. If it’s an outright scholarship offer I’ll be pretty pissed, because that means the FOG powers that be are pressuring Nate to hurt his program for the betterment of the football program. No way Nate offers a kid that doesn’t seem to have much mid-major interest unless he’s being forced to.

If he plays football he has to be on a football scholarship, that’s the rule

Signing day is tommorow right? Hopefully Oats will get on a podcast or interview and start talking about these kids

But how does that work in reverse? If he's on football scholarship and he plays for Oats, does he count against the basketball numbers too or what?

No he doesn’t count against Basketball Numbers. Any student athlete that plays college football is on a football scholarship even if they play other sports.

We are now #17 in the recruiting rankings.

Is there a metric or ranking system out there that rates current teams on a "talent composite" basis, taking both current and incoming players into consideration?

I know 24/7 used to have something like this, but I can't seem to get their data to load correctly.
