If we get Miles and Bruner then Herb and Shackleford will be the only 2 players from this years team that are gonna get major minutes on next years team. So we will essentially have a new team. I’m excited

I’ll be more excited when a couple of kids are shown the door. I’m still not convinced Alex Reese isn’t a locker room problem since he quit toward the end of the year then had the DUI. Maybe it was the injury and I should give him the benefit of the doubt but when the chips were down and we had to win, he was MIA.

I’d rather keep Galin. He may be a low mid-major talent wise but the kid busts his arse. I respect that. He won’t get many minutes if we land Bruner anyway.

You think maybe Baylor is still in the mix because they were definitely Final Four material before the tournament was cancelled? If he wants to be on a contender, Baylor has the edge. But on the other hand, they have 3 or 4 young guys that could potentially steal minutes from Bruner. They didn’t do much last season but who’s to say the light doesn’t go on for one of them and they develop into a solid player?

We appeared to be in excellent shape to land MarJon Beauchamp before he decided to skip college as well.

I too, see a role Galin can play on this team. Yes, he looks like a new born horse at times but he does play hard and can play SOME defense down low, preferably off the bench

I don’t want Reese or Galin, but if I’m forced to choose between one, I guess I’d keep Galin. Galin is the worst skilled college basketball player I’ve ever seen, but Reese is just a soft, whiny a$$ b*tch.

I'd keep Reese in that situation. Reese at 10-15 minutes a night might not be bad.

Yale graduate transfer Jordan Bruner spoke with @Stockrisers last night. Says he’s done virtual visits with all three finalists (Bama, Maryland and Baylor) but doesn’t have a decision date yet.

Baylor also doesn’t play the style that would maximize his potential. Alabama or Maryland would. If it’s between Alabama and Baylor, I like Alabama’s chances

Talked to someone today that said it’s between Maryland and Bama and he’s not really tipping his hand, but they think Bama leads.

So let's say he picks Maryland. Where do we turn after that? And even if he does pick us, what is the plan for the 4 and 5 spots from 2021 onward? It's pretty clear by now that guard recruiting isn't going to be a problem for Oats, but then it has never really been an issue for our program in general. What has been an issue is the fact that Hall and Bola (who was a grad transfer) are the only bigs we have signed over the last decade who were worth a damn.

I’d rather have Galin than Reese. I can handle someone who busts their arse and just doesn’t have the most talent. I just can’t stand someone who doesn’t try

I hope not That wasn’t my intention. I just wanted him to be more receptive of other people’s opinions. Bigbird didn’t say anything wrong and he treated him like he was crazy and didn’t know what he was talking about Bigbird is a good poster that doesn’t talk out of his arse like some of us

When Nate Oats was hired to take over the Alabama program, both myself and colleague Corey Evans figured it would only be a matter of time before his impact was felt on the recruiting trail. Well, Oats and his staff appear to have the Crimson Tide rolling.

A little over a week ago they scored big with Canadian combo guard Josh Primo. Over the weekend, they added one of the top junior college players in Keon Ellis. I watched a fair amount of film on Ellis during the winter and there is a lot to like. He has good size for a wing and is a big-time athlete who is a bouncy finisher off drives and in transition. Even better, he's got a really nice jump shot, deep range and in particular I like his mastery of a step-back dribble move to create space and clean looks. Predicting the impact of juco transfers is always a little tricky, but this guy looks like he could come in and score double-digit points as a junior.

I don't think the Tide are done in 2020, either. On Tuesday, four-star wing Darius Miles of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG is planning on announcing his decision. A skilled wing who can also play some four in a small ball lineup, I like Miles' long-term upside and fit in the SEC. Last week, I made a FutureCast prediction for Alabama as Miles' pick and so far I'm sticking with it. Should Miles end up picking Alabama, their recruiting class will move into the top 20 for 2020.

Don’t forget the legend Jimmie Taylor lmao. But they will pursue Bediako but unless Primo stays two years, I don’t see a chance that get gets past Duke or Kentucky to come to Alabama. He is raw but extremely talented. To be honest im not sure where they will go. They have been recruiting long, lanky forwards like crazy and could use people like Rojas as big men

Even if Ambrose is here? I take it Bediako is closer to Primo then. Hopefully he's a 2 year player and we have a shot, but it seems to me that that ship sailed when he didn't reclassify.
