Yes, yes that does sound crazy to say that Oats is a once in a decade coach without seeing our team play once. At least wait until we dominate a SWAC program first

More than likely Alavama will look like LSU in 17-18. Bubble team that snags some nice wins and losses some they shouldn't
That's common for new coaches/systems that aren't firing on all cylinders yet

If you’re wondering why everyone in that picture in Destin is wearing sweats: it was sunny and warm this morning, in the upper sixties and rising. Beautiful morning, felt really nice. Then early this afternoon a cold front came through with a cold wind and the temp started dropping fast. It feels cold as hell now. It’s 50 and breezy.

If Kira comes back I feel very confident in guaranteeing we make the dance next year. We were a hair away this year and we’ll have an actual coach with our roster having more experience. I’m just praying we keep Jaden and Juwan on board. Trendon would be an early Xmas gift as well.

I think the talent (with Kira and crew) is there for a potential NCAA tourney bid, but Oat's is still a complete unknown at this level. Hopefully he is as advertised and the players can learn his system rather quick.
Year 1 though I'll give him a pass unless it's just absolute complete disastrous. The cupboard is not bare enough for a complete disastrous season. I just want to see them improve as the season goes along.

I believe Oats is the real deal...and my beliefs are worth nothing. 
Even if we get everyone back we want, Oats will need to establish a new culture and often that brings its own problems.
Young guys saying they are buying in now is easy. Where it get difficult is when they are tired in the weight room or at practice and the coaches are asking for more.
Bama could have some bumps in the road next year that we dont expect, even if we do I think Oats is the type of guy that will continue to roll up his sleeves at get to work each day.
The guy has worked himself up through the coaching ranks from high school now to Bama. He obviously can coach.
I would not be surprised with a tourney team next year while also I would not be surprised that the culture change might not let us reach potential next year...and even if that happens its all about working towards the future.

Nothing may happen next year for us. But Their is only 1 Sr. on next years team.(Mack) so 2020-2021 could be a special year.

I think Auburn doing well could be a big positive for Bama. It had a part in getting rid of Avery and getting Oats. Also, may help us seriously improve our basketball arena and facilities. It hopefully gets the school to take basketball more seriously.

If they care about basketball at all, yes. No reason for Alabama to have the worst arena in the SEC.
